Scout article Woody Quinn:
What is really cool about this staff and what reaffirmed everything for me was watching them coach, Quinn told InsideTennessee. It doesnt matter if you are a walk-on player or the first in the rotation they are coaching you hard. For me, I am obviously from a different background and I wanted a fair shot and they coach everyone the same. Just seeing practice I know I am going to get coached and have every opportunity.
I spent a lot of time with Justin Worley and*Nathan Peterman, he said. I probably spent 90 percent of my time with Worley and his roommates. They are just great guys and I really felt welcome to the team. I got to talk with Coach Jones out a midfield Saturday too. I never doubted my decision to come to Tennessee, but this visit just made me feel great about everything.
Since signing I actually had shoulder surgery so that has been my main focus, just rehabbing and getting healthy before I get to Tennessee, he said. I have never really been through something like this so it has been frustrating not being able to play, but the coaches wanted me to have the surgery and they have been really supportive.
I have been working my tail off to be in the best shape I can be in by the time I come to Tennessee, Quinn said. I have been focusing on my rehab and I have been ahead of schedule. Really I have to hold back because I have been ahead of schedule and the trainers are trying to slow me down. I just started running and I will be lifting again soon. I am focusing on high rep low weight and I cant wait to get going again. I am going to be 100 percent by July. Im just trying not to do too much too soon.
