I think his school is a 3 or 4A division...so it's not small but it's no 6A Texas/Florida school. But if USC comes calling then you have to have a little talent.

Agreed, I'm still dumbfounded to learn USC offered to him.

Coaching. All about coaching. Remember Ainge without/with Cut??? Maybe we had no one to teach him how to read D's. Yeah, he had a year or two under Cut as a backup, but what about when it counted as a starter. None of our QB's did much this year. Maybe some showed marginal promise over each other, but when all 3 were meager at best, it goes back to coaching and teaching.

If you are so high on the coaching aspect, particularly in regards to Cut, then the fact that Cut had precious little positive to say about Crompton should mean a lot to you.

B.S. It wasn't all coaching. He missed receivers all year and cost us 14 points in the Auburn game. Stephens never got a chance. His first mistake and he gets pulled. Crompton got three more chances just after that game.

He had PLENTY of time to make his reads early in the year and couldnt hit squat with his crap passing..Cant blame it all on the O Line..they are somewhat culpable for sure though~~~

Will be interesting to see. Didnt know about USC connection. If he had 2 secs to make a read would make a world of dif. Who ever it is has got to have time to make reads and adjustments. The line play this year was pitiful at least.

I hope JC can recover.
Many of us gave up on Ainge after 05, and he had a solid turnaround with good coaching.
Lest we forget Ainge not only performed badly on the field he acted like a knucklehead at times on the sidelines during that season. I never saw JC look dejected or removed from the team.
And I am chattanooga guy so you know I am pulling for Coleman
