Crompton is a competitor he wants to play. He just wasnt able to get the job done. Stephans did better but again it was against NIU. At this point I wouldnt mind seeing coleman get a shot. At any rate I have said it before the problems with the offense go beyond the qb.
Yeah - you can't really feel good about what has happened to him... sure he's played really bad... but if the coaches were half decent the situation wouldn't of been near as bad as it has for him - and he received most of the blame. And fans boo'd him specifically when going into half against Florida.
Don't get me wrong - I'm glad Stephens is our QB right now - just wish it all didn't have to happen the way it did.
you gotta feel for the guy. this a guy who bleeds orange and loves the University of Tennessee. was expecting great things out of him and he just can't get it done
Why should I feel bad for someone who's ego gets in his way on the field?? He thinks he's some type of All-American player on the field but has yet to establish himself as anything of a legit D1 prospect. Obviously if he played like he practiced, he would be the #1 QB in the SEC.
how do you know he thought he was an All-American player? he's not acted like he's better than everybody else. I'm just saying it's sad to see a kid who loves this school so much and just can't get the job done
He may love the school and I don't have a problem with that, but when you have proven nothing and you say something like this....

"I said this a long time ago -- let people doubt me all they want," said Crompton, a 6-4, 220-pound fourth-year junior at the Vols' media day Saturday morning, a few hours before the team opened preseason practice. "You'll find about me when we start playing."
That tells me a lot about what he thinks of himself.

that's not proclaiming to be an All American. what do you expect the guy to say? "I suck and I don't think I'm a good player"?
