I don't think he'll get drafted. He has the physical tools, for sure, but I just don't see a team overlooking all but the last 7 games of the guy's career.
I think he'll certainly make it into a camp and maybe even a practice squad just because the scouts will drool over his fastball, but I don't see him having a long career in the NFL.
1/2 of the field doesn't work so well at the next level.
keep in mind chase daniel wasn't even drafted last year.
I don't know what one has to do with the other. Chase Daniel was short (5'10") and had a really weak arm.
Crompton is tall (6'4") and has a monster arm.
Just because a QB has success or struggles in college doesn't mean they are going to be wildly successful or major failures in the NFL.
Really there is no telling where he might be drafted. Brady, Cassel, even Joe Montana wasn't highly touted coming out of ND. Hopefully Crompton will be one of those type of stories. After all the crap he took throughout his career I would love to see him "make it".
