Crompton and the VolNation Alarmist Response

By that logic.. Jeremy Maclin's parents shouldnt have let him accept that multi-million dollar contract with the Eagles, because he may get booed if he drops a pass..

you honestly can't see the difference between a paid player and a college qb?

Yea i can tell the difference.. one is getting paid and the other is getting a free education and playing on the biggest stage in college football.. If he doesnt want to get booed for playing like crap then he should A) quit B) play better..

hey, we may not agree on every thing, but we were at least able to do it without being idiots. although I think when and if he gets there you will feel differently

can anybody get me an address where I can send crompton a formal letter of disapproval? is that the problem you have with booing? the public humiliation or what have you?

My problem is its our team. I wouldn't boo my own child.probably get after him real hard but wouldnt boo him

Well you need to get out more.. I've seen several little league football games (and been involved in some) where parents would criticize their own kids sometimes to tears

Thank you for taking his fragile psyche into account.
Try to include as many positives as you can ,at the same time delicately point out areas that need improvement.

Yeah Ive seen it as well. my kid has won state juijitsu championships 3 years in a row hasnt lost but 1 match in 3 years. I have pulled him to the side for several things and gotten in his face, but never in front of everyone. have seen parents do that who couldnt pull an omniplato off if you laid still for em. It's a shame and still dont make it right

I dont think anyone was thinking during the time whether this is the right thing to do or not...

I agree....and I understand y people booed yesterday. trust me I wanted to....
I love this board

I can no longer stand the boo'ing threads. As much as we pay for tickets, we are able to boo if we want. If a division 1 athlete that is going to school absolutely free cannot take it, then get the hell out. 2 a days are tougher physically and mentally than being booed. Let it go.

I'm not worried nearly as much about Crompton as I am the 16 and 17 year olds on recruiting visits. If we look like trash, they'll take their commodity elsewhere.

It would have looked worse, IMO, had everyone ignored the debacle taking place in front of them and gave a nice polite golf clap.

Recruits love the passion surrounding UT football.

They not only heard boo's for Crompton, they heard 100,000 singing E-R-I-C B-E-R-R-Y. Oh what a fickle bunch they must think we are.
