Crompton and the VolNation Alarmist Response

Football is meant to be played by people whom are MENTALLY and physically tough JC is not. So all of the poodle walkers on here that say people can't boo evidently are o.k. with losing well I am not .

So Johnathon Crompton isn't the greatest QB to ever grace the Orange and White. No arguments. He's not Peyton Manning. He's not Eric Ainge. He's not Casey Clausen. Hell, he's not Rick Clausen. But he's our QB and the fact he gets boo'ed in his home, in our home, is deplorable. You don't crap on someone when they're down, especially if he's your own. When Crompton starts to slump, Neyland needs to scream. We, the crowd, need to lift him up. We need to become 100,000 motivators. He needs to know that whether he goes down the field for 90 yard drive or 4-and-out that the crowd is with him regardless. He's ours. He needs fan support not fan disapproval. Keep Neyland screaming and keep Johnathon's head in the game.

And a second note...

What's with the "oh, it's over" attitude? It's one game. One Non-Conference game. What kind of season did you think we would roll through after going 5-7? Were the Vols suppost to make a run at the National Title? Everyone hopes so. I'm not gonna deny it. We want it. We deserve it. It's not going to come to the University without fan support. So stop denegrating your QB. Stop rolling over and giving Florida the win. That game is as winable as any other on our schedule. The Florida Gators aren't invincible. Motivation and focus. It's life's secret formula.

Don't roll over, VolNation. Do your part for the Vols success.

Go Vols!

rah rah rah-sisk boom baugh

Im not disagreeing with anyone's assessment of JC as a QB. I didn't think he had what it took to play in the sec. and never understood why most everyone was calling for him when ainge was here. I thought we were talking about boos.lol

maybe i am missing some thing are we not talking about whether or not to boo our own players

here's an amended post just for you concerning my thoughts on whether or not to boo our own players because I would absolutely hate it if you had to read any similar or connecting thoughts i might have relating to the main topic. my most sincere apologies.

we could all stand in neyland and whoop and holler and yell until we're blue in the face, but its not going to magically mutate jc into a qb.

yeah I read your post and got what you were saying. Did you not read mine. maybe i should have used quotes for yours.

i think he's the worst qb to start at qb in my lifetime, but the team came within 1 yard of getting that late TD. If that happens there would be people on here talking about how great he was under pressure to lead that go-ahead drive. footballs just a game of inches

I can no longer stand the boo'ing threads. As much as we pay for tickets, we are able to boo if we want. If a division 1 athlete that is going to school absolutely free cannot take it, then get the hell out. 2 a days are tougher physically and mentally than being booed. Let it go.

:bad: :bad:

All the rats are leaving the ship before it leaves the dock. I am glad I don't have to go to war with some of these, where's my bottle people. We fans are part of the team. Look at yourselves in the mirror, and then decry yourselves for being a traitor to the team. If recruits are reading what the fans "think", which some are, they will think twice about coming to Tennessee because of how you turn on the team over one game. Give CLK and the team a chance to get better..They will you know.

Oh give me a break. If the scholarship offer is good enough, they'll come.

Did I see somewhere on here JC is a sports psychology major??

That is just not right.lol

Yea im sure Matt Barkley was scouring the USC message boards doubting his ability last season after the Crompton like stats he was putting up his junior and senior seasons

seriously, do you have kids yet?

I would imagine he listens to books on tape anyway.

If he read a book he would just stare down one word incessantly...

Message to self: Blowing Mountain Dew out one's nose is not a pleasurable experience. Good one.

Now, i understand why you don't get my point. When and if you do imagine that kid out there on that field is yours and he is really sucking it up, costing his team chance after chance at winning, then the crowd boos him while your in the stands or at home watching tv. what do you do.
or
your kid is thinking about going to that school and you hear them booing their own. you going to tell him you want him to go to school there.

By that logic.. Jeremy Maclin's parents shouldnt have let him accept that multi-million dollar contract with the Eagles, because he may get booed if he drops a pass..
