Disturbing Video shows Daycare Worker Laughing With Blood-Smeared Face Before Toddler Abuse Arrest

The Georgia daycare worker accused of brutally beating a toddler had seemingly glorified violence online before the alleged attack.

A disturbing video of Yvette Thurston participating in a viral 2023 TikTok trend about stabbing has emerged in wake of her arrest last month.

The clip shows Thurston, whose face appears to be blood-smeared thanks to a filter, acting out a skit in which an offender tries to justify violence by claiming they were provoked.

Her X account also features memes suggesting a desire to punch others and a sense of validation when 'someone gets what they deserve after doing me dirty'.

She also made several posts criticizing men, sharing memes in which she described her ex as being an a*****e and highlighted how a 'woman can stay with you while she already dumped you in her mind'.

Thurston, 54, of Bainbridge, was arrested on August 11 on child abuse and aggravated battery charges after she allegedly beat one-year-old Clay Weeks and then blamed another child for the attack.

Thurston has since bonded out of jail. Her bond was set at $44,000.

Gary Christian’s friends went bail out his daughters killers, sometimes jail is the safest place for these “suspects”

This is in Charlotte about 20 mins from my house. The light rail system is used by about 10% of the people it was projected to transport, far far less than are needed to actually pay for its operation. Much less the millions and millions it cost to build it at taxpayer expense. 20 somethings who happen to live off of South Blvd (street it runs parallel to) use it on weekends to get downtown and bar hop. Mostly its used by Latinos who live in the Latino district to get to their jobs at hotels and buildings downtown. The project was built 100% because of "little brother syndrome" that Charlotte leaders have towards ATL and trying to be like their "big brother". The vast majority of people who live here never, ever use it. It isnt like MARTA or the subway in NYC. Its only 1 track and runs north/south on that 1 route. Really dumb.

It passes through some pretty rough areas that are dangerous on the way downtown. Very sad that lady died. She isnt the first sadly. There are ghetto portions of town in Charlotte on all 4 sides of town where you would never, ever want to be after dark unarmed. North, south, east, and west. Charlotte is a little over 2x the size of Knoxville with slightly more than 1 million people just in the city limits. Having lived here for 30+ years the key is to live outside city limits (and the city bus lines) where crime falls drastically, or be rich and live in gated communities or on a golf course etc. We live outside the city in a neighboring town and life is closer to Knoxville style. Charlotte proper has big city problems like ATL despite being much smaller. Traffic and crime are both pretty bad.
Nice society you got there.

Retired College Professor Killed In Attack While Walking Dog In Park

A former Auburn University professor was killed while walking her dog on Saturday at a local park.

The Auburn, Alabama Police Department said 59-year-old Julie Schnuelle was found dead in a wooded area of Kiesel Park with injuries that indicated her death was caused by an assault. Police said officers initially responded to a 911 call regarding a deceased person. AL.com reported the dog was unharmed.

26-year-old Harold Rashad Dabney III was arrested on two counts of capital murder in relation to the death of Schnuelle. In a news release, police said that Dabney was arrested on Sunday following an 8:30 a.m. call reporting a "suspicious person," noting that detectives "made observations that led them to believe Dabney had involvement with the homicide."

Dabney III also allegedly stole a red Ford F-150 belonging to Schnuelle which has since been recovered, police said.

Ukrainian Refugee Iryna Zarutska’s Father Couldn’t Attend Her Funeral Because Of War With Russia: ‘He had to stay back’

CHARLOTTE — The father of the Ukrainian refugee knifed to death on a Charlotte train had to miss her funeral in North Carolina because he is stuck at home due to Russia’s invasion — inflicting yet another scar on a family that fled the war for the comparative safety of the US.

Iryna Zarutska, 23, was buried in Charlotte on Aug. 27, but her father was unable to leave Ukraine because he is of fighting-age and required to remain in the country while its war rages on.

“He had to stay back. He didn’t come for the funeral,” said a neighbor of Zarutska’s family in Charlotte.

Zarutska was minding her own business when the man seated behind her stabbed her to death without warning.

“They’re taking it really hard,” the neighbor told The Post, explaining Zarutska’s mother, younger brother and sister also live in the US.

“She was sweet. The whole neighborhood loved her. Everyone loved her here. She did a lot of pet sitting for neighbors. She was a good, sweet person,” the neighbor added.

Her murder sparked outrage over the limited coverage it received, and for a statement Charlotte Mayor Vi Lyles released afterwards calling for “compassion” for the killer.

Journalists Pounce on Republicans for Noticing Crime

Gruesome Fatal Stabbing of 23-year-old Ukrainian who fled for America 'drawing repeated attention' from Republicans, Axios Laments

Republicans have done the unthinkable once again by noticing the senseless murder of an attractive young woman in Charlotte, N.C., and using it as an example to counter the Democratic view that crime is good and criminals are the real victims.

On Monday, Axios lamented that a video of the gruesome fatal stabbing of 23-year-old Iryna Zarutska, who fled war-torn Ukraine for a better life in the United States, was "drawing repeated attention" from Republicans who believe that protecting innocent civilians is more important than coddling career criminals in the name of "equity" and social justice. The perpetrator, Decarlos Brown, was a mentally deranged homeless man with an extensive criminal record who had received lenient treatment under the Democrat-controlled justice system.

Axios reporter Marc Caputo pounced and seized on GOP officials and "MAGA influencers" for highlighting Zarutska's tragic death—in a random unprovoked attack by a repeat offender who belonged in prison—in order to "elevate the issue of urban crime" and accuse mainstream media outlets of refusing to cover the case and other horrific acts of violence in cities run by Democrats.
