Crime and the United States

Did that look like a reasonable amount of force?
for a nonviolent crime, while not being a threat to others it seems excessive AF.

I would understand it if he had been driving like a maniac swerving into other lanes, or otherwise making other drivers react to him. but this is just a cooked up bully wanting to use force.

It’s the law that you have to have lights on in rain, regardless of time of day. The point is not to help you see, it’s to help other drivers see you.

You’re also leaving out that his tag came back suspended. That’s why he was told to step out. As soon as they find out you’re driving without lawful privilege, they’re getting you out of that car every time. Watch On Patrol Live this weekend.

And he refused a perfectly lawful order to show his license, registration, and insurance. That happens on any traffic stop, no matter how minor.

It seems clear to me this guy was trying to martyr himself. He knew exactly what he was doing.

I saw the body cam after I posted this and he was more in the wrong than what his video showed. The headlight thing is a bit of a gray area. Even the cops that rolled up didn’t have their headlights on. That said the immediate punch to the face was a bit excessive as well as how they roughed him up after they removed him from the car. I use to back law enforcement way more than I do now. With cameras everywhere we see more and more how inept and narcissistic some of these cops can be especially when people try to exercise their rights.

🤣 Can't make these things up. He was a victim of the bartender now.
Hey, lady Captain idiot. If you look real close you can see he's a grown ass man.
He doesn't need any more excuses for him not being responsible for his actions.
