Crime and the United States

Morons ... every one of them. All you have to do is comply. You don't do what the law asks you to do then you are bringing more charges & pain to yourself. You forced them.

Dems liberal view on incarceration. In my opinion, he should have been behind bars.

“Ramirez has had at least 11 criminal cases ranging from misdemeanors to felonies, KNBC reported. In January 2022, he was charged with felony domestic battery and entered a not guilty plea. That case remains open and he also has a pending DUI case, the station added, citing the Orange County District Attorney's Office”.

We'll have to wait & see how a judge rules on this. If so, then more power to the dude.

I mean pulling the dude over for not running headlights during the day was pretty suspect to begin with. Then escalating by breaking his window and immediately punching him in the face followed by dragging him out and assaulting him was pretty egregious as well. Why not just write him a ticket for the alleged infraction? Because many cops have to push beyond in hopes of finding something else or escalating like in this case. They looked a bit concerned after they saw his camera on the dash.

Oh, I agree that it looks bad. But the judge has the last say in these matters.

It’s the law that you have to have lights on in rain, regardless of time of day. The point is not to help you see, it’s to help other drivers see you.

You’re also leaving out that his tag came back suspended. That’s why he was told to step out. As soon as they find out you’re driving without lawful privilege, they’re getting you out of that car every time. Watch On Patrol Live this weekend.

And he refused a perfectly lawful order to show his license, registration, and insurance. That happens on any traffic stop, no matter how minor.

It seems clear to me this guy was trying to martyr himself. He knew exactly what he was doing.

Did that look like a reasonable amount of force?
