Creer plans to visit Tusclaoosa

Sources close to Tatum running back Lennon Creer have indicated that the elusive prospect has agreed to visit Alabama for an official visit. This weekend is when the visit is scheduled, but there are whispers of a possible mid-week visit. Outside of Joe McKnight, Creer, 6-foot-1, 202-pounds, is the nation's top remaining uncommitted back.

Major Applewhite has made up a lot of ground in a short amount of time and although Creer remains somewhat of an enigma, he has told the UA staff that he will visit. However, he told the Texas staff the same thing last week before bailing at the last minute. At the same time, the relationship between Creer and the Longhorn staff had been on shaky ground since they set an early commitment deadline which didn't sit well.

As things stand now, Creer is expected to host the Tennessee staff Thursday night, and you can bet they will try to cut off any connection to Alabama. The Vols have been considered the leader for his services for the last couple of months, but the early departure of Adrian Peterson helped Oklahoma. Georgia and Florida are also still in the mix.

Alabama always tries to get our "so called" locks. I hope Saban goes down for that possible violation. What would everyone think of him then.

That's a good question, i really believe he will end up at UT but if u were him wouldnt u want to go to a team that is looking for answers at running back?

They're not looking for answers. They're back-up is pretty dang good. Did you not see him in the Fiesta Bowl?

OU signed like 3 RBs last year and have one of the top RBs next year highly interested.

I think we land him in the end.

bama is starting to put together a pretty good class. saban has stolen recruits from miami and LSU, and is after creer and melacon. hopefully these kids will stick with us and creer will come aboard, but i never count saban out.

Texas no longer courting ESPN 150 running back Creer

Lennon Creer looks as if he'll be playing his collegiate football outside the state of Texas after the Star-Telegram reported that the Longhorns stopped recruiting the Tatum product. He previously cancelled a trip to Austin.

Some believe Creer will choose between Tennessee, Oklahoma, and Alabama. Others feel that Georgia could be in the picture but he hasn't made plans to travel to Athens.

Looks like we stand good. Come on down to UT the real one Mr. Creer.

Wow, I have no clue what is goin on down there deep in the heart of texas but it seems from these updates of Creer that he and the longhorns have some sort of beef

They had issues. Texas offered him early and gave him a deadline to commit. When the deadline came, he didn't because he wasn't ready and they said they wouldn't reoffer and never have nor will.
