I would assert that if the Vols were 5-0 or 4-1 this would not be in the forefront or anywhere for that matter.

Cracks are starting to show in Jones exterior - his image and coaching prowess is somewhat tarnished.

I remember not so long ago when certain rumors allegations were being tossed around about Dooley toward the end of his tenure - most did not want to believe them. Then the media starting slowly letting stuff out and then bam he gets fired and the flood gates get opened up.

Point is that when things are not going well on the field often times off the field things start leaking out.....

Because somebody posted him tweeting to a fan, and the tweet said, it has legs. I'd assume that's why. If I knew which page that was on I'd copy it for you. I'll look and see if I can find it.

Oh, I agree. Just look at the stuff about Kiffin last week. You're not hearing that much about that this week.

Swain has spoken out of both sides. Pretty non-committal.

I've also read the Knox media long enough to know that they'll blow absolutely anything out of proportion when it comes to UT sports

Sorry, the link I saw said he "hopes Jones sells his way out".
Surprised that he hopes he gets out of it if he believes that Jones did something wrong.

I don't think anyone here, other than Steeler has said definitively it's true. Most who've provided "inside info" have said they heard these rumors 2nd hand, not that believe it to have happened. I think we can all infer they some sort of altercation verbal, physical, punishment etc happened that caused Crowder to skip a practice or two. It may just be him being a baby, who knows.

I saw him do that on the tv show Sunday vs radio monday.
Take two different sides to one issue.

It wasn't addressed as a rumor to Butch. Seth Stokes said he had it on good authority that an altercation occurred, would you like to comment? And Butch said what he said.

I'll chime in if you don't mind:

Because I believe he is try invested in building this thing back to a dynasty. He has passion, he recruits. You may not like his approach or results for that matter. But, the man cares. That was enough to gain my support and I don't jump ship and trash the guy because the W's aren't there yet. Wanting him gone is one thing but the hate speech is ridiculous and immature; especially when directed at a guy who's worked his ass off to right this ship.

Makes his comment about if you're not with him you're against him more valid. A lot of people have attempted to back him into a corner and those are the guys that drew the battle lines!

That statement was in regards to the mess Jones inherited. He was having a back and forth about wanting Cutcliffe as Dooleys replacement.
