for UT, just as louisville and unc did. They jayhawks have some serious athleticism talent inside and out; they play very good defense and, importantly, they are pretty smart with their possessions for a team that likes to get up and down the court--notice that they didn't hoist up a lot of ill-advised threes. Chalmers, Rush and the center/power forward who scored 20 last night are very good //all-around players//--no obvious weaknesses in any of them except that Rush is not a great ball-handler--fumbles the ball a bit but boy can he shoot and finish around the rim. Their shot selection is good. The Vols had a great year, but I for one was pretty convinced that two games, maybe with luck three was a far as UT would go. First, you gotta have a GOOD pg or two to win in the ncaa--that's issue number one for Pearl. The Vols also had too many one-dimensional players--lofton, prince, to name two.
