Coronavirus (No politics)

My employer (federal government agency,) is finally making people prove their vaccination status to remain employed. But now, if you’re not vaccinated, you get to “work from home” full time while your exemption is being reviewed.

Got my booster shot yesterday and feel awful today I got muscle aches and bad fatigue along with a mild fever. Im kinda regretting getting it now no more booster shots for this guy.

I got mine the other day. Felt mostly fine but toward the end of yesterday I was a little fatigued. Back to normal today.

Great news that the together trial was just published in a good medical journal that showed a cheap drug called fluvoxamine which is an antidepressant prevented hospitalizations. Also prevented death in those who completed therapy.

Apparently it only costs about $10 for a 10 day course. Very similar in its structure to Prozac and wonder if they could be interchangeable.
Also of note the same trial looked at ivermectin and found no benefit.

Seems strange an antidepressant would have any impact on a virus.

Although our pediatrician did say the loss of taste and smell is a neurological symptom. Insinuating COVID is affecting the brain. To him it was a reason that people needed to take it more seriously for kids/young healthy people. Yes the chances of being critically ill are low for that group but the long term affects are still unknown.

'I was going to die': Unvaccinated COVID-19 patient urges others to get jabbed after near-death experience

She also cautioned others against thinking that severe COVID-19 illness would never happen to them.

"We really do not know how much our body can take the virus, and the virus from COVID is actually quite smart and quite interesting - there are a lot of variants," Mdm Lee said.

"Really do not take the chance, I would rather encourage everybody to just take the vaccine. If it can help lessen your symptoms and make you less sick, I think that is good enough."

Sorry to hear that...the second dose knocked me on my hindquarters for 24hrs with the fatigue, achiness, etc. Got my booster last week without any side effects, thankfully. Hope you're feeling better soon!

Moderna
1- nothing
2- sore arm, exhausted about 3 hours later, lasted 6-8 hours. Slept great that night.
3- mildly tired next morning, 3-5 hours. I can say that fairly often at my age.

I’m sure the people this needs to reach will find someway to dismiss it.
Here is the cdc scientific statement on vaccinating after prior infection that the article references. Really good info on covid.
Coronavirus Disease 2019 (COVID-19)
Wonder though if the cdc recommended either 1 or 2 shots of the mrna vaccines after recovering from symptomatic covid like they do in Europe instead of everyone must get 2 they would get more people open to vaccination.

90% effective at preventing something that does not affect 99.9999% of children between ages 5-11 anymore than a common cold. Clownshow

The experts that said they have to give the vaccine to find out what the side effects are? We don’t know what the long term effects to children might be. Hopefully there aren’t any.

Somewhat disturbing trend… new cases have been going down every week for 2 months now. This last week they were slightly up. Need it to continue downwards.

Yea they will spike up again around thanksgiving and Christmas this will be a yearly thing for the rest of our lives. Covid is here to stay and we need to accept that at some point.

Just scheduled my daughter's 1st and 2nd doses of Pfizer. She is 9. My wife and I are fully vaccinated and have received our boosters. We have fully discussed it with her for months now and given her a choice whether or not to take it. She wants to take it. I believe that everyone has an individual choice, including what to do for your kids. We've chosen what we feel is the best for our family.

I hope it’s harmless and protects her with zero side effects.

What are the long term effects of catching COVID?

My kids pediatrician pointed out that the loss of smell and taste is neurological. Covid effects the brain. Is that better than a vaccine?
