Coronavirus (No politics)

My allergies are always bad, but I'm scared to death to sneeze in public right now😄
The problem with mine is I don't have the symptoms most people have- I get ridiculously thick drainage and it gets hard to breathe from the chest up, not just sinuses. Can't tell anyone about it this year or they'll weld me into my house like the Chinese did to people.

The one here in Salem is still open thankfully. If they start seeing people not following guidelines they said they would shut it down then
Roanoke City's justification was that people weren't social distancing, but I was out yesterday (and every day the last week) with my wife and the biggest groups we saw were families of four or so. It's not like a bunch of randoms are bunching up together.

The reaction to this is because there are kids out playing basketball and things like that, but of course shutting down those courts and the parks is probably somehow racist.

How dare 2 people stand 60 feet apart and hit a ball.
If you're playing with someone who you're quarantined with, fine. If not, it's a potentially spreading activity based on handling of the ball. I suppose you could make an agreement that both people stay on their respective baseline and you both wear surgical gloves, but who is really going to do that? The people who're out there doing the nonessential group activities need to be identified so that when this is all over, the rest of us will know which of our neighbors are selfish pricks who are willing to risk other people's lives for no good reason.

Guess you stand at the neighborhood entrance every friday night with a breathalyzer testing who is risking your life as well. Your spiel is bordering on insanity, which seems to be the norm now.

I don't want to be doing any of this stuff and I have serious doubts as to whether much of it is necessary. If we're going to do it, then everyone needs to participate or the sacrifice the unselfish people are making is wasted. FWIW, where I live people use Uber or a car service if they're partying and if they don't then they risk going to jail, being fined, having their license suspended, paying more for insurance, and (perhaps worst of all for some) having their name out there attached to a crime. The one thing that will stop most of the people I call neighbors in their tracks is public shaming. We need an online "stay at home order violators" registry just like they have for sex offenders.

And you're doubling down on the insanity. A registry. Lol.

Maybe the guy playing tennis gets exercise, sunlight, good mental being...which all bolster his immune system. That might be a good thing for him.

He can walk by himself and pose no risk to anyone. You are coming off like a person who is willing to let other people die so you can recreate as you chose. I'd rather be on this side of that fence.

You dont know that. 300 people passing each other on a trail is probably more conducive to transmission than 2 playing tennis.

Then stay over there.

Better yet, we could make offenders wear a some kind of identifier on their clothing. Kind of like these people:
