I would say it’s more than that but far less than what the media blasts out. The saddest part is all that is reported is a COVID death With very little context. One of my best friends is an infectious disease specialist in Charleston SC. He has been on conference calls with Fauci and Redfield. He was once on gov McMasters COVID task force. He left because neither Fauci, Redfield nor anyone else would answer a simple question. Are people dying WITH COVID or BECAUSE of it? He asked this question for months and got no answer. Then he was told by superiors to stop asking questions about COVID.

These covid deniers always have some purported friend or some distant relative that has some kind of "bullship" tale. I'll trust Fauci, and my own mathematics training to analyze excess deaths. Excess deaths over and above 10 yr averages indicates that Covid deaths are under reported rather than over reported. There has been many a covid death reported as pneumonia, flu....especially thru the months of August this yr. Maybe reality will set in with them when they lose someone close to them due to covid.

This is absolute BS! The covid deaths have been greatly exaggerated, not the other way around. Most of the deaths were from individuals in nursing homes or with morbidities that were going to take their life in short order anyway. The survival rate is 99.7% overall. In some cases, it's 99.97%. Your mathematics training means nothing. What a joke. 10 year averages? WTF are you talking about? So many ignorant people that pretend to be the authority and it's so obvious. A real lack of self awareness.

92.3 % of all stats are made up on the spot. Yours qualifies in that category. Your other comments, full of profanity and insults, are a pretty good indication of what and who you are. If you can't understand the concept of excess deaths, then don't talk to me about mathematics training.

He’s talking about taking the 10 year average for deaths in the U.S. and then comparing it to deaths this year (you’d likely also adjust for population growth). Any variance over that 10 year average is going to be your excess deaths. Since COVID is the only significant variable that has changed, it’s a relatively same assumption that you contribute the excess deaths to COVID. This is the most accurate way of calculating the true death toll. Every scientist and legitimate medical professional I’ve seen discussing this has agreed that it is much more probable that deaths from COVID are understated, rather than overstated, and the math backs that up when you look at excess deaths.
