Confident Oklahoma Fans

Hehe, so I climbed the ladder, you climbed after me but fell on your butt, so now you claim the ladder is a curse and people who climb it are the worst. Ok doke ...we can take a break for a while if you need one. :)

Silly vol this isnt about you. That post from me will get quoted repeatedly. I'm just gonna kick back and basque in it. I predict at least 2 or 3 more responses pointing out the same errors already pointed out.

Closely reading the post looking for errors while simultaneously looking up what the hell microcosm & macrocosm mean in another tab.

Bwoohahaha

C'mon, isooner, don't be sore, we're just kidding around with each other. :)

I know, we can sing your fight song together. It's okay, I have both words memorized. On your cue....

When one team is winning, people think it's an advantage for one side or the other.

In the case of FL/GA, the city of Jacksonville is as close to the state line as you can get. You can spit on the state of Georgia from Jacksonville. To give you an idea, there are people who live in Georgia who make the commute into Jacksonville to work.

People harp on the distance from each campus to Jacksonville, but we all know that when it comes to college sports, fans are coming from everywhere.

A Gator alumnus living in Miami is pretty much driving just as far to get to Jacksonville as a Bulldog alumnus in Atlanta. A Bulldog alumnus in Savannah has a shorter drive than a Gator alumnus in Tampa.

And as someone stated, the crowd is truly a 50/50 split unless one of the schools is convinced they will lose. In that case, they sell their tickets and don't go. Georgia had the "home crowd advantage" in 2014 as an example as Gator fans believed they were going to be beaten badly.

It was pretty funny the neutral site was called the "Gator Bowl". You are correct though

How long should I keep your friends looking for grammatical errors in my posts?

BTW, reading through Sooner history as a measure of respect for this weekend's opponents, I came across this gem:

150px-Gomer_Jones_Nov_1929.jpg

Oklahoma Sooner coach Gomer Jones (his real name, no relation to Butch)

(looking at the hat, perhaps related to Derek Dooley)

That is one handsome fella. :good!:

Let them do it while we sing together. We could invite your left tackle to join in, if he works at it a while, he might qualify academically for UT. :good!:

you know what they can talk bad about my momma, my wife, or Charlie Daniels..but I draw the line when they denigrate my team :) The only good thing that ever came out of Oklahoma was Rodgers and Hammerstein

Oh yes.. Akron and Tulsa strike fear in the entirety of the college fotball world, and you play in a weak, top heavy conference, but our strength of schedule is getting called out.

That's what I'm saying. Your own fans are arguing it's hardly considered neutral because it falls across state lines. Only way it's more neutral is if you played somewhere in AR that was the exact same distance for both fanbases.

Like a lot fan bases some of ours think we get homered sometimes but the series is about dead even since post WWII.

Most OU or TX fans would hang their administrations if they ever moved the game.

The game means a lot to both schools...recruiting, state pride, possible NCs. And we've played each other every year for over 100 years.

Ironically...going back to the days of the big 8...we probably have more games with the huskers with a bearing on NCs than TX but TX was always our biggest rival.

It is a neutral site.

Get into that stadium and you'll see the stadium is evenly divided with red and orange meeting right down the center.

Just so you know, 90+ percent of us cheer for you when you guys play UTjr.
