I really think this defensive front will be much better than anticipated.
Definitely. Antonio Reynolds and X-Man will have their way with Cal's Tackles most of the game. Mapu is back in shape and Bolden is a beast. The starters will be phenomenal, IMO. The only thing concerning about the DL is depth. And we are building that right now.
Well...you're more confident than I am. I would say that Cal's o-line is average...and I'm not convinced that our ends are so much better than average that they will be in the backfield all day. Our linebackers could greatly help with that situation, though. And, Xavier Mitchell may have a big day.
Cal's oline is well above average. Mack is one of the top 2 or 3 centers in the country and gibson was all pac-10 last year. Tepper was a beast in the second half of last year. edit: and tepper and gibson didn't even play against tenn last year btw.
A&M said the same thing, how we couldn't handle a big-12 running game, and how their dline would dominate our soft oline. WHOOPS.
Hahaha... I have been reading quite a bit on here and it's the same old argument. Plain and simple, these Pac 10 apologists don't realize that smash mouth football is played here in the south. They were lucky we weren't at our strength and dominance with the D-Line and Running game as we have been in year's past. That whipping last year was a preview of things to come.
