Concerning message from gator land, we better hurry up and get in

That's because:

1) as Gator fans we expected this season the offense woukd show signs of life, and

2) no one knew Mac would make these weird claims about death threats.

Ironically, he made the same mistake as his players with the CC scandal.

One player claimed an agent gave them the money and a big investigation had to be done because of the NCAA risk.

Mac claimed players received threats which means the university had to investigate the situation.

They both lied

I see nothing in OPs post that hints they will be hiring Gruden so why all the worry?

If Mullen is the type that would bail on his current team and program in the middle of the season, he's a scumbag like Petrino and I'm damned glad he's there and not wearing orange. They deserve one another. Majority of these kids get four short years and then it's over. No NFL for most of them. If a coach abandons his players, he's garbage in my eyes. Honor your commitment until the regular season ends.

And people say we're too demanding and no ine would want to come here

The better question is why would any coach worth a damn want to go to FL after they fire a coach who won the East two years in a row?

That seems like that might backfire on them

Because it is as much about off the field stuff as it is UF's offensive woes under JM. He has been rubbing the UAA and 2 ADs the wrong way for 3 years with his public demands. That is according to articles I have read from some of the UF beat writers. He tends to make demands publically rather than going through channels, and the UAA typically hears about these demands in the media. Similar to the death threats situation. Plus the word is he usually sends a staff member in his place when their are meetings that involve the HCs of all programs under the UAA. And then add to that the suspensions for the credit card scandal and other issues, and what is going on with offense on the field, and that Right and Fisher have been killing him with instate recruiting, and it is looking doubtful JM will survive much longer. Now whether he will be fired this weekend or not is another matter. Fans on message boards saying it is going to happen means nothing, as VN is well aware of.

I’m not saying Mullen would bail in the middle of the season, but you know whoever UF goes after if they fire Mac it will be done behind the scenes in negotiations with the coach’s agent.

I don't know what to believe right now, but if recent history is any indication, Florida will hire a new coach that will spark another dynasty or at least control the East, while UT fails to to hire the right man for the job and wonders what might have been.

And one more thing about our athletic department >>> I am SICK & TIRED of our band playing the opponents fight song. It's as bad as going to Kroger, and hearing Publix ads over the intercom. STOP IT NOW!!!

Is it true that they can fire him with cause because if the implication that he lied about the death threats?

If UF fires Mac and convinces Chip Kelly to come coach while he’s available, we’re in deep deep trouble.

His system plus the speedy players of his would be a nightmare to stop.

Does anyone think Ole Miss has already hired their new coach? Ark will probably be looking at years end and if you have to compete with Fla a lot big bucks will be tossed around

The fanbase deserves better than this. You could look at the record and say we got beat by 2 really good football teams, #1 & #3 ranked teams, and we lost to Florida on a hailmary and South Carolina on a dropped pass in the endzone that would have won the game. It's not even about the W-L record to me, it's how we operate as a football program.

We've become a complete joke and everyone is laughing at us. Literally EVERYONE on the College Gameday set laughed at Tennessee through the short segment talking about the game tonight. And we're playing KENTUCKY. This should never be a close game, and Desmond actually said, "What did I do wrong to get this game". It's embarrassing.

He wants an out, just like Butch wanted out last year

I wouldn't be surprised to find out Butch tanked this season on purpose to so he would get fired and get the buyout.

I didn't think I would ever say this about another Tennessee coach, but Butch is heading towards Derek Dooley territory. It may even be worse.

SEC and NCAAF could be in serious Turmoil this off-season with coaching changes.

Tennessee
Florida
Arkansas
aTm ?
Vandy ?
Mizzou ?
I wouldn't consider Orgeron and Malzahn to be very safe either

Arkansas probably doesn't want to pay out the buyout yet, but maybe.

TAMU will depend on how they finish; Sumlin has sort of pulled it back together.

I seriously doubt Vandy has any plans to get rid of Mason.

Mizzou I would say is probably a strong maybe; hard to get excited for Odom, because he looks like the job is too big of a mess for him to fix anytime soon.

I'd be shocked if LSU or Auburn made any kind of move.

Outside of SEC:

Nebraska
Now Florida State has issues

Add in teams expected to lose HCs to other teams:

MissSt: Mullen
VT: Fuente
Memphis: Norvell
Cal: Wilcox?
IowaSt: Campbell
Purdue: Brohm?
Exactly and here UT is sitting with their thumbs up their @$$es. We need an aggressive leader willing to get things done

its worse. Dooley's team couldnt stop anyone but they could score at will

Butch's team cant score nor can they stop anyone.
