Concerning message from gator land, we better hurry up and get in

Laugh away. When he’s on the UF sideline with those athletes it’s going to be ugly.

Maybe if he’s coaching against Butch.

Lets see what Frost wins at UCF before we crown him.

It’s not like he’s turning around a SEC program. It’s UCF.

And one more thing about our athletic department >>> I am SICK & TIRED of our band playing the opponents fight song. It's as bad as going to Kroger, and hearing Publix ads over the intercom. STOP IT NOW!!!

That's the least of our problems.

No I agree that this class isn't going to hold, but I've seen it posted many times that we need to fire Butch now and name an interim if we are to save the class. Just don't see how that's possible. No matter when UT makes the move, the class is going to lose kids. Hell, UT hasn't fired the man and already kids are looking around. First to go will be the players who really weren't sold on UT but were holding a spot. Many will wait to decommit but start visiting in order to see who UT brings in. They also know the new guy may not want them either. There is simply no way a coaching change takes place and a class remains intact no matter when the change takes place. That's why change hurts so much. It sets you back not only with the current class but with future classes as well. Those relationships had already been started and developed. New guy will be starting over but have kids he already knows as a starting point. A change hurts and sets a program back. Granted, we are headed in the wrong direction and Butch needs to go, but there was always a price that was going to have to be paid regardless of when the change comes. I've watched UT since '65. This is always how it goes....always.

I've read into it as the opportunity presents itself. My guess is we could lose 40% of the class if CBJ is let go and a replacement isn't named. This is new ground because of the implementation of the early signing period. I don't know if any specific rules apply like can they sign any time after the initial signing day or do they have to sign on that particular day. If they don't sign early are they forced to have to wait until Feb. of 2018 to sign? A whole lot of variables seem to be presenting themselves,IMO. Fortunately a lot of players are committed to the university. Still not sure if quite a few of them will decommit based on a coaching change. I have to agree with your opinion that it's always like this. No way to avoid losing recruits, we just never can predict the extent of our loss.

Frost is currently undefeated at UCF this year, embarrassing teams along the way. They were objectively an awful team immediately before he got there. He’s working on COY honors right now IMO. He’s an alpha type coach that will gut opponents on live TV. He’s already been recruiting the area.

No, I don’t want him at Florida.

And people say we're too demanding and no ine would want to come here

The better question is why would any coach worth a damn want to go to FL after they fire a coach who won the East two years in a row?

That seems like that might backfire on them

To answer the better Question: Because he has sucked ! The only reason they won anything is the rest of the sec east sucked more, not because they were good!

I want everybody to remember all THE FROST ISN'T A BIG TIME HIRE talk and the WE DON'T WANT KIFFIN BECAUSE WHAT HE DID TALK and the WE DON'T WANT KELLY BECAUSE HE DOESN'T FIT IN AND CANT RECRUIT TALK. If Fla fires their coach and hires one of these guys we will probably be singing the blues but wait WE HAVE GRUDEN COMING AND WE WILL NEVER LOSE WITH HIM . GEESH How about we stop being so picky and find a coach that can win football games and championships.

Gruden...I’ll take
Kelly...I’ll take
Everybody else...Pass

Chip Kelly to Florida book it. They care about winning

They care about winning, they just aren’t particularly good at finding the guy to do it (yes, they can be bad at hiring coaches, too). Since Spurrier they’ve hired Zook, Meyer, Muschamp, and Swamp Donkey. They are 1 for 4 in finding good coaches. To me, that reads more like the one was an accident than a pattern. They also kept Muschamp after he had demonstrated the ability to underperform talent in such a way as to label him singularly bad in P5.

I also believe if Fla hires any of Frost , Kelly or KIffin they will win an NC within 5 or 6 years. The only reason i think it will take that long is they have to beat Bama to do it. Mean while here at Tennessee we are still looking to win an east division title that wont happen because we have to beat Fla to do that. Everyone of those coaches could and may win a championship at their next stop .

If they can Mac on Sunday and get Mullen while we’re asleep at the wheel I think I’ll officially lose my mind

Even if they get him,(back door), only very few will know. Who's to say UT doesn't already have their guy lined up? It's unethical and a major distraction to many active coaches to get involved with negotiations mid-season. UF won't can Mac to get Mullen. If they can Mac mid-season it's because they know for a fact they have Frost. Even then they wouldn't announce it until UCF's final game out of respect to the players.

They have done a much better job at it than we have .

Not so fast.

This is the same Florida that kept a 4-8 Muschamp.

The way he handled the death threats is why his seat is hot.

It's hard to win without an elite QB.

They kept Muschamp after he went 4-8 because he was coming off an 11-2 season, SECe title and a top 10 ranking.

This death threat thing is their Golden parachute. I thought when the Shark Humper made those "I feel sorry for these fans" after beating Kentucky. I thought this is multiple times of saying stuff like that. No fan base wants to hear their coach apologize for victory. But they can't fire him for that but if they can prove he made that stuff up about death threats then boom golden parachute.

Problem with that is I think that'd be hard to prove. I don't think they can get out of that buyout jmo

I also want to ask everyone here when was the last time UT showed that they care about winning and i mean winning games and championships . They care about how much money it brings in and if we win a few games that's ok to.

We just need to make the call tonight and fire Jones and move ahead in getting our next man in place. It is so difficult to live here in Florida and put up with these Gators. We sure dont need to get behind them in getting our next coach in place.

The fanbase deserves better than this. You could look at the record and say we got beat by 2 really good football teams, #1 & #3 ranked teams, and we lost to Florida on a hailmary and South Carolina on a dropped pass in the endzone that would have won the game. It's not even about the W-L record to me, it's how we operate as a football program.

We've become a complete joke and everyone is laughing at us. Literally EVERYONE on the College Gameday set laughed at Tennessee through the short segment talking about the game tonight. And we're playing KENTUCKY. This should never be a close game, and Desmond actually said, "What did I do wrong to get this game". It's embarrassing.

Desmond also said. That he doesn't even know why they are still talking about Tennessee at this point

I can see them going after Charlie Strong if they do can him, which is crazy to think they'd fire McElwain..
