Why would you do that? How does how some coach did 40 years ago have any relevance toward winning in this league today? At least try to make sense.

Wow, so if Dooley destroyed this program and still managed to go 5-7 every year, just imagine what Houston Nutt must have done to Ole Miss to go 6-18 his last two years.

This x1000. Throws a bomb to Treadwell up by 2 TDs. I think Butch can be just as good or better but he needs to learn how to use his players physical ability (especially at WR) and how to put a game away.

Most of those turnovers were forced by the defensive line getting good pressure. Kinda like in our game where K-Mac forces the bad throw that McNeil picked off

Off the field, nobody should be unhappy with Butch.

On the field, they shouldn't be comfortable with Butch.


This is his chance. No real reason to argue this week.

I am a little concerned that the 2016 recruiting class is lagging right now, but I know there are 4 months remaining until NSD.

Currently, we are trailing LSU, Bama, Ga, OM, FL, and even KY (in Rivals). I hope Butch can finish strong and secure another solid Top 10 class.

I think last year's class was a bit under-rated. Anytime a 5 star WR coming off ACL surgery and not even eligible to practice until 2 weeks before the season outshines experienced WRs like Williams did, you know it matters to some extent. And look at all the FR/So participation that we have on the field in the first 3 games. We've had 2 great classes back to back and we need another one in 16.

At some point there has to be results on the field, or the recruiting will start to tail off. You can sell building a program for only a period of time before the results start becoming important.

It's perfectly legitimate to have some questions and concerns at this point. A win over Florida can quell a lot of that, but the philosophy has to change from the philosophy of the Oklahoma game.

Wow, so if dooley destroyed this program and still managed to go 5-7 every year, just imagine what houston nutt must have done to ole miss to go 6-18 his last two years.

This week is Butchs week to seal the deal. UF under a first year coach who struggled against Kentucky and ECU (not terrible programs but you get what im saying). With a loss im going to go bezerk, especially if we give up a lead in the second half. We should win this game by two touchdowns. With a win Ill step back and let Butch do his thing.

Freeze's team has an offense that can score points. That's the big difference IMO.

Exactly.

If anyone watched the whole start to finish, you would know that Ole Miss dominated and held a lead the entire game. Bama was pulling out all the stops for a miracle after being down several points late in the 4th. But because it is Alabama, the narrative is that Ole Miss just got the win "gift-wrapped."

One of the top 5 classes have played a total of 3 games and already several of them are playing significant roles on this team. Good Lord what do you expect? Hurd, Barnett, Wolf, Moseley, Robertson etc etc. are not legacy players.

Jumping in here late but, to compare Mississippi to the VOLS is silly, it been so long since they have had a good team, that nobody even cares, and then when they get good they still choke at the end. Every team we play circles the date, and they know now it the time to beat us when we are down, because time is running out for so many teams to even have a real shot, unless the whole team goes out and gets drunk on Friday and are hung over on Saturday we win beat the gators. And Butch will be King of "The Hill".
GO VOL! RUN the TABLE!

Freeze isn't scared to do what he has to do to win. Going for it on 4th and other things like opening up the playbook.
