This is the question that has been asked inside the Army for maybe the last 10 years as it is concern with bases named after Confederate generals.Hypothetical question. Since the US fought a war against the CSA, they would be considered an enemy, right?
Would it be acceptable to Union Jack symbols? Rising Sun? Mexican flags? Red, Black and Green flag?
Yeah let’s just change the names of all 10 Army bases. It’s history, regardless which side they were on they all died as war vets. This is the question that has been asked inside the Army for maybe the last 10 years as it is concern with bases named after Confederate generals.
CSA soldiers aren't technically the enemy anymore, at least according to the government back in the 20's.Hypothetical question. Since the US fought a war against the CSA, they would be considered an enemy, right?

They really didn't bring them into Europe, just to their colonized places. I'd wager its not really even a thing for them even though they almost exclusively did all the buying, transporting, and selling of slaves. Some of the Asian countries still do. But I wonder if European countries face that societal guilt for something that happened hundreds of years ago?
This has been a long time coming. There has been grumblings for the Army to do this for years.
“Marine Corps Commandant Gen. David Berger has ordered all Confederate-related paraphernalia to be removed from Marine Corps installations, his spokesman confirmed on Wednesday.”

Good. Not sure why American bases would fly a flag of treason.
I think we all know the answer is yes. I would be most concerned about the recent policy of allowing Hijabs. No way I would turn my back on a fellow soldier wearing a rag on their head.Hypothetical question. Since the US fought a war against the CSA, they would be considered an enemy, right?

I don’t. People that rep the confederate flag are generally (not all) inbred, backwardsass, racist, rednecks. I’m talking about the ones that go out of their way to wear it or display it. I don’t feel that way at all people who display the American flag. The same people that say the confederate flag stands for racism believe the same thing about the American flag.
