I fell in love with the Cambrian hotels.
My significant other is fond of free breakfasts.(even though I never wake up early enough to eat them)
So we’re likely at Hampton (very nearby) or Embassy Suites (free drinks) on other side of public park. VRBO and Airbnb are crapshoots in bigger cities and no free breakfast.
I’m hoping the ushers will let those with reserved seats move around closer to dugouts
Had nothing but good experience with CambriaGood to know some positives with Cambiras. Looked like a good place and I booked it when it was stupid cheap.
I can't imagine the ushers will be that picky. They definitely weren't in Dallas, which I really appreciated. I like wandering around the parks especially during games we aren't in.
I've been to many, many Astros games. Even for World Series was able to park without much of a problem. The Friday afterrnoon game is the only one that could be a problem. Find a spot along the Metro Rail that stops right next to the ballpark if you are concerned about parking. Friday afternoon traffic in Houston in a bitch everywhere. We're in 122, Row 5 or 116, Row 5, depending on the game (because I want to be by our dugout instead of being around opposing team's fans, and I have some friends in Houston who will use the other tickets and not care where they're sitting). Also on the aisle. We're staying at a hotel within walking distance and not getting a car, because you're right, parking is nuts. See you there!
The Weston Downtown Houston is mere steps away from the park. On a weekend in February, you can probably get a decent rate.I was thinking downtown as well. Saw some ok deals.
Just curious about the transport costs from airport downtown for 2 people.
Not fond of being without a car with all the free time- after all, there are no In-and-Out's downtown
Was thinking Zipcar for Animal Style on Saturday as Zip is downtown.
Enron, Minute Maid, Daikin… Oxy patches on the sleeves, it’s all fer sale.Did not realize the name "Minute Maid" was going away in Houston
Houston Astros’ Minute Maid Park renamed Daikin Park in new 15-year deal | Houston Public Media
It's the third corporate name on the downtown Houston ballpark, which opened in 2000. Daikin is a Japanese-based company that makes air conditioners and has a Houston-region facility.www.houstonpublicmedia.org
Back in the 90s, Daikin was one of my industrial customers when I was a terrible salesman.
