I subscribed for updates a few weeks ago at the link chuckiepoo posted and now get approximately 25 emails a day from the Astros. So if y'all want to know anything about the Astros, I'm your girl. 🤪 I'll also post here when I finally get the email I'm waiting for, telling me tickets are on sale.

Sorry, Sis. I should have warned everyone. I do appreciate your serving the board in such a manner! 🤙🏼

The great thing is there are plenty of great seats at Minute Maid Park. In 2022, I bought GA and wound up sitting front row, behind our dugout against Texas.

We needed you to show your Hokies that game.

Did they mistake you for Bob Uecker?

I went to the Dallas tournament earlier this year. I had reserved seats a few rows behind the plate. However, I spent most of the time sitting in the general admission area since it wasn’t crowded.

Got my two tickets.

Look me up. Section 118 Row 20 on the aisle baby!

Did get an email about 3 day parking pass as well. $30-$45-$75
That's not bad for 3 days of downtown parking.
The downtown hotels near the stadium charge per day.

We're in 122, Row 5 or 116, Row 5, depending on the game (because I want to be by our dugout instead of being around opposing team's fans, and I have some friends in Houston who will use the other tickets and not care where they're sitting). Also on the aisle. 😏 We're staying at a hotel within walking distance and not getting a car, because you're right, parking is nuts. See you there!

I was thinking downtown as well. Saw some ok deals.
Just curious about the transport costs from airport downtown for 2 people.

Not fond of being without a car with all the free time- after all, there are no In-and-Out's downtown 🤠
Was thinking Zipcar for Animal Style on Saturday as Zip is downtown.

I usually Uber from IAH to downtown, and it's about $40 with 2-3 people. We'll also Uber out for dinner or whatever if we want to go somewhere outside of downtown. Zipcar is probably a good option, although I've never done it.

Wait a second, are these actually assigned? I figured they'd be GA (except the home plate primo seats) like the other tourneys.

EDIT, Nevermind, i see how it works now. Some assigned, some GA

I'm working under the assumption we are home, away, away correct?

That's what I assumed as well.

But of course, that does not necessarily mean the home team will get the Astros dugout on 1B side I guess.
Which is why I opted for seats more behind home plate to cover both options.

Did find the best travel options - at least for airfare; through United Air Vacations. Need to decide between hotel and VRBO. My significant other prefer hotels. So will likely go with Embassy Suites, Hampton Inn, or Cambria (who I have learned to really like in places like downtown Nashville and Louisville)

The United flights are non stop but are on those obnoxious regional jets. The departure times are ideal though.

You can buy 3 day passes behind home and dugouts for $85 a ticket reserved. All 9 games.

I think you can still get the Cambria for about $150/night. Easy walk so that's what we went with.

The last couple downtown AirBnb/VRBO stays really burned me. Most have just gotten so cheap and absolutely wore out.

We rolled the dice on dugout seats, but I've been to enough of those to know its not gonna be too big a deal either way. Especially with us being day games every day.

I fell in love with the Cambrian hotels.
My significant other is fond of free breakfasts.(even though I never wake up early enough to eat them)
So we’re likely at Hampton (very nearby) or Embassy Suites (free drinks) on other side of public park. VRBO and Airbnb are crapshoots in bigger cities and no free breakfast.
I’m hoping the ushers will let those with reserved seats move around closer to dugouts
