Coaches haven’t signed extensions

Rodney Garner,Kelsey Pope and Joey Halzie haven’t signed extensions.Garner is the only coach on the defensive side of the ball that brings discipline.He’s not the recruiter that he once was as everyone thinks.He was a bagman.NIL has made that an even playing field.Rumor has it he has a good relationship with Golesh and would like to return to Auburn family matters included.Does he take Chop with him? Marion Hobby is on staff and has about the same resume as Garner.Natty and NFL experience plus VFL.Now Pope rumored to Auburn also not sure we want to lose him.Halze has been mentioned to be poached by Golesh also but what does he do here,he doesn’t call plays which if we had a coordinator that was trusted maybe Heup would have more time for game management.

There is very few if anyone on this staff I’d miss and no position where I think we couldn’t upgrade. Hobby would be an upgrade IMO. He has a he’ll of a resume.

At this point last year I would have paid money to see Pope go, but his unit was far and above the best on the team.

I don't know for certain we lose any of them. Garner is only one I feel like will definitely be gone..

So what youre saying is, we are going to lose our best assistant coach and likely bring back all the ones that are no good.

I'm speculating based on info. the skills of the coaches is a matter of one's opinion...

College coaches that are "no good" don't keep jobs in the college coaching realm for years and years.. P4 level. the drop down or out of the game. IMO

I would definitely bring Hobby into the fold if we lose Banks or Garner. He knows his stuff plus he is a VFL and would bring some of that energy with him. But mainly because Marion knows defense. GBO

I'm not sure that many of the CFP teams have a "homegrown" coach. Kirby went to GA, I guess.

Those days are long gone. This ain't "let's bring Johnny home" football anymore nor does the ball coach need to become Athletic Director.

1st on my list would be Halzle.......then the lbs coach.......then the s&c coach. everyone else is okay in my book!

Banks,Martinez,Halze and Sims would all be on my list of wanting to upgrade and in that order.
