Someone please explain how the current situation is anything less than a total disaster. Non-delusional responders only, please.
I know this is VN and we tend to be over the top, but damn, it really is time to let go of the love/hate for the last couple of basketball coaches and move on. Let's be classy and just say best of luck to those players who choose to go elsewhere and thank you to the players who choose to stick it out. Hopefully CDT can work some magic with our program and put together a roster that can make us proud next year. I won't be expecting any championships, but hopefully they go out and play with heart and give their all for Tennessee.
Damn right. Just like he said in his introductory press conference...I'm a no-non-sense guy, there's no gray area with me. I may not always tell you what you want to hear, but I will never lie to you. I will make you a better player, better student, better person.
He did not say the following but I think it's self implied...If you're not comfortable with me, my staff or the style of play we will demand, you need to be elsewhere, and there will be no hard feelings.
I for one love his no-non-sense approach![]()
disagree. It's human nature. Especially with black family's that want to send their son's off to play for black coaches.
To deny that some families choose their coach with skin color considered is naïve.
Might want to take a look at UCONNs coach lol I agree with you tho, there might be some players who make a decision on a coach based on skin color but I'd say the vast majority do not.Two points. Basketball players are more committed to their coach than football, so leaving after a change is not that uncommon.
As far as the racial angle, explain how Uconn, KY, Kansas, Duke, and Louisville get players for me?
GO VOLS!!!!!
Disagree. I'd say winning and player development are far more important than the color of a coach's skin. Sending your kid to play for a coach of certain race is pure ignorance.
