Bama and florida are no longer our main rivals.... our new rivals are vandy and UK. Say what you want but those games have 10 times closer than the bama/fla games. Dooley will never beat Saban.

IIRC, when the SEC was trying to figure out the schedules with 14 teams, Saban came out and said that he would only support versions of the schedule that would allow UT and Bama to continue playing every year.

Maybe dbag Travis could know some facts. I think he was meaning UT doesn't view Vandy as a rival anymore.

UT/Bamer have one of the most competitive and storied rivalries in college sports and it's streaky.

Tennessee/Bamer series 38-46-7

Tennessee/Vandy series 70-27-5

Tennessee/James Franklin 1-0

Yep, was it '92 or '93 that David Palmer went for two to tie the game? And it was another game back in the sixtys that ended in a tie and Bryant kicked the door in to the lockeroom and said ending in a tie is like kissing your sister.

We had them beat in Birmingham, I was there. Everyone knew what play was coming too. Had them beat in '08 at TuscaPOOsa also. Damn shame. BUT OH YEAH IT'S NO LONGER A RIVAL GAME

People don't realize that the reason why we are rivals is because we were the first two teams to make noise out of the SEC and it was a swinging dick contest between us and them in the early days.
