Clay Travis prediction

Clay Travis sucks. I listen to that idiot and often end up having to change the station.

If UT beats us in Gainesville this year, Muschamp is officially on notice alot earlier than he wants to be. That would be hazardous to his coaching title.

I do get tickled at how much emphasis Tennessee fans put on the UF game. Florida fans don't put the same emphasis on the game imo.

You guys act like beating us is the most important thing in the season. What if you beat us, then lose to Bama, LSU and Arkansas, and we still win the East? None of it matters if you don't win the East. I refuse to believe you guys are a program who are so focused on beating Florida that it doesn't matter if you win the East, as long as you beat Florida the year is a success.

That is silly imo.

Wacko kid.... Any smart football fans knows that if we beat y'all we have a head start in winning the east but in order to win the east we have got to beat our other opponents.

We're not vandy. No one win will ever make a season a sucess.

I can understand some thinking that fl is THE game tho.fl is in the east,we play em early, haven't beat em in a while, and thier fans are anoying as #$^%...but for me bama will always be the BIG game.

so UF's win over UT in 07 doesn't really matter? If not then we will gladly take it off our history

Those statements are contradictory. We put all the emphasis on the game, yet your coach could lose his job if he loses?

I don't think Tennessee will win, but are you joking about him being put on notice? We're not Vandy, for cryin' out loud. It wouldn't be THAT shocking.

Its a back handed insult....like how vandy puts so much emphasis on beating us but if we lose our coach is in trouble.

I get all that, but I just don't think you see Florida putting as much emphasis on the UT game as Tennessee does.

Can one game help? Sure............but not at the expense of others. I have never really understood it, that's all.

JMO.

For him imo. He doesn't want to be the first Florida coach in 20 years to lose to UT in his first try.

Would give him added pressure in his first year imo.

That confident huh? Not worried about us at all?

Well I'll put it like this wacko, I don't wanna jinx us but I feel more and more confident every day!! The big orange is coming and hell is coming with us!! After Muschump is done y'all will no longer be "gods gift to football" like y'all think y'all are.

And do you not think that the '06 UT-FU game didn't mean nothing for y'all? If the glorified fullback teblow didn't pick up those key 3rd and 4th down situation late in the game y'all wouldn't have that 3rd crystal football sitting in that junky shack y'all call a stadium. So it does matter!! Your just being a typical arrogant, jort wearing gator fan

Football is cyclical. UF has been riding a big wave since the early 90s starting with SOS with only a slight dip in the infamous Zook era but recovered nicely with Cryer. UF is way overdue for a drop.

Keep in mind you dont want to follow a legend. You want to be the one that follows the guy that followed the legend.

I don't disagree necessarily with your last sentence. nobody wants to follow THE GUY.

If Stoerner didn't fumble the ball for no reason in Neyland, you don't win the 98 NC.

You can't use the "what-ifs" bro. I didn't realize I thought we were God's gift to football. We lost 5 games last year. And you do realize that Hamilton wanted Muschamp as your HC first, right? I don't know how he will do, but I like him right now and like the staff he has put together.

You don't know me if you think I am an arrogant Gator fan. If anything, I am a chicken little fan and haven't said anything on this board about how dominant we are as a program. Nothing even close. I don't trust very much about our program right now at all.

Just out of curiosity, have you ever been to a game in Gainesville and how many Gator fans do you know living in Springfield and Robertson County? What did any of them do that makes you think how you do about Gator fans? I golf up by your house sometimes.

The Zook era was not a "slight dip" imo. Going 22-14 over a 3 year period is a drop.

Since 1990, you guys have won 188 games and lost 74. Florida has won 200 games and lost 57. There are tons of programs who would look at your record over the last 20 years and take avg almost 10 wins a season for 20 years in a heartbeat. You guys aren't that far off, and quite frankly, you haven't been even though alot of your fans feel you have.

Tennessee is still Tennessee.

I say "slight dip" because (a) it only lasted 3 yrs which was just at the beginning of the era where coaches were on short leashes of time to turn programs around. Before then the usual rule of thumb was at least getting the previous coach's recruits out then evaluating on how you do with your recruits. (b) While 8-5/8-5/7-5 isnt an ideal number of wins it sure beats the crap out of the 86-89 stretch winning only 6-6-7-7. Or even worse was the 78-79 season which got 4 and 0. Again, it was a slight dip that was correctly quickly and rebounded nicely.
