The players didn't execute well when Randy Sanders was here because he ran practice like it was party. You saw things immediately get better from an execution standpoint when Cutcliffe arrived. That wasn't a coincidence. Clawson deserves plenty of blame for this crappy product.
I keep forgetting that coaches play this game and not the players. Sorry guys, won't happen again.
We are just in a difference of opinion then. When the final product on the field doesn't move smoothly I blame it on the OC because it is his job to get it to work smoothly. You just automatically think it is the players fault. No big deal just 2 ways to look at the same problem.
It also wasn't a coincidence that Cut had basically a two year starter to work with as well in Ainge.
Yeah, damn those running backs for only getting 7 yards everytime they carried the ball. It's their fault that Crompton threw the ball 40+ times for less than five yards a pop.
Oh yeah, Cromp definitely gets some blame for the poor passing game, but I'm talking more about the poor offense as a whole (gameplan, situation management, execution, playcalling, etc.).Theres more than enough blame to be spread around that both parties can share!
Clawson wasnt the one throwing at the receivers feet or at the pretty girl in the 6th row all night. But he was the one that kept calling pass plays when Crompton couldnt find his a$$ with both hands.
Oh yes, Ainge just looked fabulous when Cutcliffe arrived on campus. Poor old Clawson just had a QB that's been here for three years to work with. There's no way he could be expected to succeed there.
RB's were fine obviously. Cromp just couldn't hit the broad side of a gator's ass tonight and if we had tried to run it more than we did I think we would have eventually staled as well. Plain and simple Cromp didn't do his job and execute what plays he had been running against the scout team this week.
I would say if it was only those two responsible for the loss I would put it 90/10 in favor or Cromp's fault.

I know he played much better as a freshman against a defense roughly 200,000 times better than UCLA's.
