CJP will have say on Smokey Grey Uni's

Put the grey uniforms in the big grey "turnover" trashcan and take them both to the landfill.

Haha. If we had went 15-0, this place would be raging over that trash can. And 1/2 the teams in the country would have one next year.

I like the smokey grays on sunny game days. Too dull at night. But, at this pt, I'm kinda ready for CJP to institute a no BS policy until we actually figure out how to beat Vandy and Kentucky. All the gimmicks look dumb when you suck.

I had rather see different combinations of orange and white. I did not mind the grey but really dislike anything black in our unis.

This is my fav.

I just think it's funny when people who moan and groan about smokey greys saying we need "Traditional O&W." Then start drooling over storm troopers (where there is very minimal orange)

If the kids love it, I love it. I was at the UF game in 16, so I kinda like the grey unis. But I don't watch for the uniforms anyway.

The storm troopers are awesome.

I like Orange troopers best.

Maybe we should wear the Smokey grey uniforms during the SEC championship game this year. When we beat Florida, Georgia, and South Carolina we are going. I believe 100%(yes I said it)that we will win the rest of our games after that, to stay in 1st in the east. Have faith, confidence, and pride in the Vols and let Pruitt and his staff work their magic in 2018.❤️😎👍👍

There ya go... fixed
Orange on orange? Sure, I can handle that.

No way! We should wear Orange on Orange to 2018 SECCG(You have too many 2018s in your post. Fix it.) We should wear the grays against the chumps. Their dowg won't hunt.

2018. Year of the Vol.

This.

As far as the Smokey Greys, I'd keep them but not wear them in any big game. I wouldn't mind seeing a bit of mix against some of the lesser non-conference games. Like against ETSU, wear all orange with the grey helmets.

Let the kids decide. They’re sharp unis and nothing wrong with starting new traditions. It doesn’t hurt to wear them once a year.

I thought that it was already like that? I also thought that the players decided which game they wanted to wear them.

Right. Just keep it that way. I will say this, they’re not allowed for Bama though. That should be a no go. Lol

Well, since this is the age of equality, I'm going to have to say this will have to include the cheerleaders also.

Just as long as they don't do like plenty of HS cheer squads. Now, the concepts of equality and inclusion has led to recruitment of "plump" cheerleaders.

If we are gonna have nudity, we gotta have some standards.

This would be bad ass IMO with orange pants, orange socks and black and orange cleats.
Edit : Chad Fields is the one developing these photoshops. They are really good.

That looks pretty silly to me. Unnecessary geometry, weird lines, it's something I'd expect from an arena football team or the CFL or whatever. People who want to change uniforms (or most classic things for that matter) always want to add all sorts of business and noise, usually because they get excited and just go too far. It happens all the time in design. This feels like one of those times to me. The reality is that clean, simple, and direct is always fantastic. Use your changes to accent sparingly, and in ways that add, rather than distract.

Make the numbers a bit bigger, get rid of all the excessive checkerboard patterns (seriously Nike, we like them but they're not the best accent - I'm looking at you, helmet), get some black cleats on 'em, maybe trot out the orange pants every now and then, and most importantly, always, always, Stormtrooper. I mean classic Stormtrooper - orange numbers with black stroke outlines, names in black, the real deal. It's not rocket science. Those all white away uniforms were the real deal.

I could take them or leave them. I find it funny that calling them "Smokey" Grey somehow makes it legitimate or tolerable for most fans. They're just grey!

But if you look in any media guide the official colors are Orange & White. No other colors are mentioned.

If they want to keep them I'd like to see this on the helmet. If you're going to go alternate, go alternate.

Oh, I don't know. The Tennessee Volunteer football uniform is as sacred to some as the hallowed ground of Shields-Watkins field within Neyland Stadium.

So get over your bombastic self and let Tennessee fans voice their opinions without the uncouth insults.
Didn't mean to hit a nerve. Sorry.

White pants every week. Alternate between Orange jerseys & White jerseys depending. Whenever we need to get exotic, go with Orange on Orange. :twocents:

I like them for one game and one game a year only. After that, it starts to look like you are trying hard to be cool.

Don't act like it was an accident. You knew full well what you were doing.

I thought as a society we had gotten past using gender roles as insults.

You just triggered my outrage.

I never said it was an accident. I'm legitimately surprised everytime this subject comes up on here.
