I was on campus at LSU three weeks ago and made a comment that you guys would have liked, but my wife didn't get it at all.
"Oh yeah! There's that corn dog smell?"

Mike the Tiger is incredibly cool, though.

I'm asking because I don't know, but, is the outback a better bowl than the tax slayer bowl?

We out kicked our coverage last year and got a better bowl (I think) because of who we are are...

If you are talking about payout, perhaps so. If you are talking about history and prestige, most definitely not. It can be difficult to trace the pedigree of bowls through a host of corporate sponsors, but the TaxSlayer Bowl was formerly the Gator Bowl (1946–present), which was the sixth oldest bowl, after the Rose (1902, 1916–present), Sugar, Orange and Sun Bowls, all of which were established in 1935, and the Cotton Bowl (1937–present).

It is perceived as a better game, but in reality any of the SEC tie in games below the Citrus are about equal.

In my humble opinion, yes, the Outback Bowl is one notch above the Gator Bowl.

The Gator/Taxslayer Bowl does have longevity but it has been an "OK" bowl for a long time. It's been a mid-pack SEC pick for over 20 years.

No one really knows this is all talk but I'm thinking our opponent is most likely going to be Northwestern.

We'll find out for sure Sunday though. Still crossing my fingers for Michigan.

Did I miss something? After reading that article it sounds like LSU v Penn State in the taxslayer bowl. Where did anyone get Mich in the citrus bowl?
