Cimaglia opting out

Exactly. It will be interesting to see how things shake out these next 2 weeks. It's no secret that Pruitt is on the hot seat and will be in serious jeopardy of being fired either this year or next. That cannot be any kind of help in luring assistants to make these "changes". It's also a real blow on the recruiting trail. It's a no brainer to keep pounding that home on the recruiting trail. And we're still talking the 21 class. Imagine the fallout if we have another dismal year next season and Pruitt is fired then. You know the in state 22 class will crumble. By then, one would have to wonder what our options for a new HC would look like. On top of that, you'll have graduation and what's left of the roster after the transfer period to go along with what looks to be a sinking 21 class to try and sell to a new coach. Making the move this season can go a long, long way of mitigating damage on all fronts IF we hire the right guy. Keeping Pruitt is a huge gamble. Akin to going all in with a pair of deuces in your hand.
If the NCAA grants a free transfer for next season, I see our roster going backwards. If coaches look to jump, so will the players.
