He's likely to lose the championship game to Miami and never make it back. Stop being prisoner of the moment. He's a good coach but this could be just a fluke run and not an indicator of a generational coach.
How can you make this statement about Miami being in the same hemisphere based on what we have seen between the two teams so far? He willl win the natty this season for sure. After that I do see a possibility of a drop off though. His players are nearly old enough to draw full social security benefits.

Phenomenal might be an understatement. Bloomington freakin IN. How do you get quality players to go there? Can’t be just money. History of IU football can be summed up in 2 sentences. Big 10 champs in ‘45, ‘67 and now 2025. 15 bowl games and the playoffs the past 2 seasons. Immediately before Cignetti, IU was 2–10 overall (0–9 Big Ten) in ‘21, 3–9 overall (1–8 Big Ten) in ‘23 before hiring Cignetti. His 1st season at IU began with the first 10-0 start in program history. Love him or hate him, show me a better turn around than this one. Freakin’ IU!
It's insane. Caveat, though, Bloomington is actually a darn pretty little town. Would be a really nice place to go to school. That part of the state has rolling hills surprisingly, in contrast to the pancake flatness surrounding Indy to the north.

I like Heupel and all but we need to make Cignetti the most obscene coaching contract offer known to man.

5 years, 200 mil;
His own Memphis Riverboat;
A mountain top mansion in the Smokeys;
Induction into the Grand Ole Opry;
A monthly orgy with the Titan's cheerleaders;
Motorboating with Dolly Parton and
Prima Nocta throughout the State.
Gave you a like for Prima Nocta, lol

Indiana is going to beat Miami like a red headed step child. What he has built there is phenomenal.

Prisoners of the moment. Its almost like yall get amnesia every week not realizing teams don't look great every game. They just played two incredible games in a row. Usually that sets up for a stinker. Also Miami has been battle tested in close competitive games. You need that in a title game that's likely to be close.

H*ll, give me that kind of deal and I would make him look like a small town peewee coach.

With Mark Cuban financing Indiana’s NIL, he doesn’t have to be a generational coach. He just has to keep doing what he’s been doing…buying players with the proven ability to play at the college level.

Just stop.

Speaking of short memory…Ole Miss wins Thursday night if someone remembers to spy Carson Beck on that last play.

Ole Miss 1000% GAVE that game away.

This virtually guarantees a blowout win for Indiana.

Real world we have the anti Cignetti. I like Heup as our coach, but we consistently have a young roster. More stars than we have had lately, but always a young and inexperienced roster. Meanwhile, Cignetti has a team of 23 year olds dominating people. Incredible what he has done.
We also had an undisciplined team that did not play complimentary football and killed themselves with mistakes. The "anti-Cignetti" moniker works well.

Oregon is soft. You all know this.

Will Miami beat Indiana? Indiana executes really well, but Miami is physical.
Our boy Jakobe Thomas is on a mission.

It should be a really good game. Not the beat down we just saw. Oregon has always been soft when it really matters.

I laughed out loud literally to those two conditions of the contract offer.

Except, Indiana has also had tough games against Iowa, Penn State, Oregon and Ohio State where they were tied or trailing in the 2nd half. I’m not saying Miami has no shot, but if both teams show up and play their game, Indiana wins by 10+.

This is a misnomer. Indiana doesn’t even have the oldest roster in the Big Ten. They’re 5th, behind USC, Iowa, Northwestern and Illinois. And now with this success, why would you not consider Indiana if you’re a kid in the Midwest 🤷🏾‍♂️ great offense, great defense, great QB play, great coaching. They have it all right now.

They won 10 games last year with a QB who had a torn ACL. And their 2 losses were to the Natty finalists

Indiana is fundamentally sound in every phase of the game. And they never let up. This is what we need to strive for. There isn’t nothing flashy about it they just all do their job well and are physically and mentally tough. GBO
Yupp. They take teams’ hearts and play 60 minutes. They run the 🏈 they 🛑 the run, they force turnovers, they execute. It’s ruthless.

Lanning is the Western version of Mark Richt.
Wins a ton of games, but never has the toughness to get over that hump.
