Cigar /Pipe Smoking thread

Yep. Original blend. Look forward to reading your review.

Through the first third I’ll agree with you on the construction and even burn. My impressions so far are mostly woody, cedary. I did get the big pepper blast you mentioned on first few draws and retrohale, otherwise mild and not tons of smoke.

Nearly through middle third, I appreciate the even burn. Smoke production has improved thru the middle to what I would expect from a Gordo(6x60). Still woody but detecting something cinnamony or almond.
Setting up for a nice finish.

That’s a wrap. I’m not a huge fan of lighter wrappers but this is an enjoyable smoke. To me, it’s mild to medium. I’m glad I ate something first and even so, I did get a slight nicotine buzz. Was a little harsh on the finish but good. Smoke time a little over an hour to hour and a quarter.

The first two robustos that I smoked did as I described, but the one I’m smoking this afternoon lacked the previous pepper and nicotine blast upon lighting. It’s drawing well and medium to medium full in flavor and body.

My wife doesn’t care for the smell of cigars, before or after they’re lit. My neighbor doesn’t feel the same. She’s met me at the mailbox when I’ve been holding a cigar and asked if she could smell it. She’s also told me that she likes the smell of my lit cigar. I think someone in her parents’ or grandparents’ generation must have smoked cigars, and they prompt memories.

What do the women in your lives think of the smell of cigars?

I think you need to post a picture of your neighbor for us to offer an opinion.

Wife has ultra sensitive olfactory abilities and detests my sessions. Since I developed this passion nine years into our marriage, it’s been a work in compromise…still in progress.

Not in the habit of taking pictures of my comely neighbor. She’s married and a young mother of two little girls. She and her family are good neighbors.
Based on this, I’m guessing find memories of a grandfather or fun times at grandfathers house

Another reason to love cigars. Whether I’m on the deck, patio or by the pool I can count on at least an hour to myself or with the dogs!! Miss Tracy doesn’t like the smoke.

My wife doesn’t like it, but she doesn’t care if I have one…away from her. My uncle used to smoke pipes. Used to love going to visit as a kid and smell his pipe. Was in the Caribbean a couple of weeks ago and enjoyed a couple of fine Cubans.

It’s been a bit since I shared. The weather has been nice so plenty of opportunities.

the Melanio Maduro needs no intro really, consistently magnificent.
The Mcaullif was a local B&E purchase that was surprisingly really tasty.
The Cohiba Nicaragua, is ok but not as great as Riviera and others.
The Romeo and Julietta is one of the better connies out there (tho not on davidoff level)
The Camacho triple - I really did not like it previously with a 60 ring but it was very good in this robusto vitola. The wrapper/filler ratio gets out of balance on the fatter stick but this one was perfectly chocolaty. glorious dessert stick.

The partner is fine with it as long as it doesn’t blow her way. She asks to shower before I get in bed which is a small ask. She actually loves when I smoke the Java cigar by Drew Estate, she will asks for me to pick one up sometimes so I can smoke it lol
