Lol oh I am definitely lumping you in on this one. Because we both know K-town thinks JG is the only viable starter. Lol

Like I said again, I'd watch out for McBride no one is talking about him this summer. (Pruitt even said to watch for him, that the O&W game didn't do him justice)
I’ve argued with KB over McBride’s right to be graded fairly...not just for his limited emergency trial last season. That being said, I think he redshirts injuries considered and either uses that in a transfer or joins the fray next season on the bottom. I like the kid but I think he ends up earning the underrated label.

Come on Butchie you love when you are on the good guy's side. :loco:

Just like when Darth Vader threw the Emperor over the rail, you have your moment...lot of innocent lives destroyed beforehand tho.

I think if he Redshirts he transfers. There will be too many QBs next season, im sure there will be a program out there that needs a starter right away.

Chryst is a QB who couldn’t hold down the starting job in a league that doesn’t play defense. Not going to take over the job in the league like the SEC where defense is king

The SEC had 5 top 25 Defense's last year in a 14 team league vs the Pac 12 who had 3 of their 12 in the top 25 defense's. That's with much better passing offense's in the Pac 12. Last year as a group the SEC gave up 26.4 pts a game vs 29.5 in the Pac 12. Not a big gap..In the past 3 yrs the SEC as a group has given u 29.2 pts a game vs Pac 12 32.0..Not a big gap, especially considering the much better offense's being in the Pac 12. In the 3 yrs average I took out the Pac 12's worst Defense ( Oregon St 52.7 pts game and the SEC's worst Tex A'M 41.3) and the gap went to 30.2 for the SEC vs 28.2 for the Pac 12. So the Pac 12 not playing Defense vs the SEC isn't true. Especially when you consider how much better the QB's and offense's are out there.

I'm not saying Chryst will ever start or play well, but these stats disprove the huge gap in conference Defense's.

Correct his mistake with Memphis. If he’d of stuck, he’d most likely be going into this season a starter with four years of eligibility...three at worst.

Stanford is a run first team with an awesome running back. Swing passes and screens. Those linemen are dump trucks! Why throw downfield if you play smash mouth.

To keep the defenses’ DBs honest so they can’t sell out to stop the run thereby making it much more difficult to run the ball maybe??

There’s one where he throws an interception on the goal line. 🤣

Lots of QB's have thrown picks in the end zone or red zone. Manning, Bree's, Brady, Newton etc, etc. Just saying. I'm not advocating for any particular QB. Until we see them in Pruitt's system, we ought not rush to judgment.

I'm not the one using the idiotic argument of winning record when so many other factors go into it. For example one was on a good team and one on a team that gave up and was coached by Botch Jones.

He would have beaten Carolina but a pass was dropped. That would have been a better team than Chryst has ever beaten. Plus I would hope Chryst has more wins in three years compared to half a season starting. Lets not forget that KC was replaced or injured early in atleast three of his so called "wins."

If JG had been playing three seasons and only had 11 wins I wouldn't want him to be our qb. 11 in three years is a pretty trash record.

I'm starting to think that you're related to JG. We know your agenda and making a thread to support that seems kind of desparate imo.

Your points are valid but you make it seem like JG is light years ahead and a proven QB when in reality is that we've only seen glimpses of him being a top QB.

I've thought the same thing too. I think it's best for us for JG to win the job and give us some stability for a couple yrs at QB. But by no means has he shown he can win in the SEC or in college football. I really, really hope he does, but he's not come close to proving it yet.

Take Chryst’s own team, Stanford, out of the equation and see how the Pac12 stacks up. They are the only team that plays decent D, and as such a D that Chryst never had to face

Not true. The last 3 yr average Stanford is behind Washington,Utah,USC,Cal,Oregon and tied with UCLA in points a game given up. Washington was a Top 7 Defense last year.

If I'm a villain it would be more Thrwan than Vader. lol

If George Lucas didn't have such an inferiority complex when it comes to the Star Wars universe, we'd have had episodes 7-9 based on Zahn's work back when it was still a viable option.

8 schools in the PAC12 were 75th or worse in the nation in pass defense and Stanford is not one of them. That means 72% of the defenses Chryst faced in conference were 75th or worse in pass defense in the entire nation. By the way, 3 of those schools were 115th or worse.

By the way, points per game given up is a bit misleading. There are a lot of ways to score points
