Absolutely not true. AD is Probably not having a face to face meeting w a coach that’s still coaching.

It's entirely possible that Gruden could be better than one of the five best coaches in college football currently. Unlikely but possible. That said Petersen likely costs less or the same as Gruden and there's much less risk there.

Make Petersen one of the highest paid guys. Break the bank. Hes one of the best coaches in the game. Swing for the dang fences for once. If it fails, at least you tried. And by "failing" I don't mean Dooley or Butch failings, as Petersen wouldn't come close to that garbage output.

Really hoping that's Petersen. I really like Mullen, but hiring Petersen would seriously be about the best hire we could possibly make IMO. He'd be way more of a sure thing than Gruden.

and I asked in another thread about him running the ball. Probably most important in the SEC and they are 110 in the country. not sold on him in anyway!

This right here. If Petersen is in fact a possibility you throw the kitchen sink at him. Hiring him would be a major coup. It's not a home run, it's a grand slam IMO.

Just stating if it were Gruden why would there be any need to wait. Also Tennessee has certainly been looking...... Why look at anyone if you already have your top man?

Because they don’t have anybody yet. The search is still going on.

Lot of schools just joined the party, so I would say current candidates are waiting to field all offers before deciding.

I just perused the Seattle Times Sports section--which is the Husky paper of record--and not a word on Peterson possibly leaving.
