Chris Doering SEC Network

You'd think SEC Network would not hire these clowns who cannot let old rivalries die and keep the bias from their playing days. Hopefully this clown will not last past this year...of course I had hoped that last year as well....

BTW he basically said Vols are overhyped YET said Vandy would be in a bowl game. All credibility is lost...

yea I heard this guy last night and it just pissed me off. He's an idiot and ESPN cronny....yea and he buys off on A&M??? yea right

I also think their schedule is extremely friendly.

NC then at Mizz -- they just might catch a surprise, or two there -- then 1 not-so-surprise at Ole Miss in the early schedule before our game. Fulfilling your end, losses only to Tenn and FL would be a very good season for CKS, imo.

Pundits. Doering's just one of many, so let's just allow ourselves to ease into the season without blowing any fuses. It's just that time of year. Let's go 120! This is our year!

OP is correct though. Doering just can't seem to contain his doucheness when talking about UT. Of course I can't really blame him. Trying to say nice things about the gators would make me sick to my stomach.

I also have heard from numerous people that this freshman QB, Eason, is the REAL deal and I'm not expecting him to play like a freshman.

He probably is the real deal, but he has no idea what is waiting on him when SEC play begins and some of these SEC DCs turn the dogs loose on this kid.

Am I the only one that heard him say that Tennessee is always pick to win the east but never do?

No. I heard that too.

Doering is a clown.

He sounds like he gets his info from Florida homers on twitter. SEC Network should think twice about renewing his contract. He is a straight up homer with a clear agenda.

Just my opinion but I have a feeling this team has had enough of this crap and is drawing a line in the sand.....it ends now. Personally I think Florida is scared and keeps talking up the 11 in a row thinking they are getting in our heads and will psych us into another loss but in reality they are just pissing us off. The media's constant mentioning of it too. Keep it up I remember when we played them the first time after Doug Dickie left and they were so fired up no way they were losing.

I'm also glad the Florida players have been talking about us. It keeps our players hungry.

Getting patted on your back all summer brings complacency. Getting dissed all summer pisses you off and makes you work harder. I'm sure all our players are hearing this smack from the Florida players and media.

One thing you don't do is give a more talented team bulletin board material to motivate them. Florida's players and the media have been giving us bulletin board material all summer.

I love it.

I've gone back and forth on the board over the years defending Richt, then trashing him, and I went back and forth for a while.

I will admit my bias is from the perspective that I have as a Gator fan.....but.....I saw Georgia get the snot kicked out of them by Florida two consecutive seasons where Florida struggled to beat most teams.

Florida has played 27 games the last 2 seasons and 17% of its rushing offense during that time period came in its two meetings with Georgia.

Georgia did last season, what they famously have done on numerous occasions. There were 4 games on the schedule that mattered. They got hammered by Alabama. They got hammered by Tennessee (damn the score). They got hammered by Florida. They snuck by a bad Auburn team.

They have done this in a lot of seasons. They win 9, 10 games against teams where they have an overwhelming advantage (often by a hair) and get the snot kicked out of them in the games that matter.

The amount of times a Richt team went out and got drilled are numerous. 2007 Tennessee. 2008 Florida and Alabama. 2009 Florida and Tennessee. 2011 SEC Title game. 2012 South Carolina. etc, etc, etc.

Year after year, there is a game or a set of games where Georgia doesn't even compete. They get blown out.

I don't know what Kirby Smart will be or become as a coach. My guess is that in the short term he will give the team something it lacked, particularly toughness, and it will help them win ball games next season.

My gut tells me there is a hell of a lot more talent on that team than has shown itself and that a lot of the talent that is there can play at a much higher level. I also have heard from numerous people that this freshman QB, Eason, is the REAL deal and I'm not expecting him to play like a freshman.

I also think their schedule is extremely friendly.

Been wrong before.

Fair enough.

I recall watching Georgia under Ray Goff and Jim Donnan. Similar things happened...it's almost like it's embedded in their culture, their identity, their DNA. No doubt they're super talented, I just question the program's ability to overcome what seems to be its MO. Plus, this particular season they have major questions about the position which dominates their offense due to injuries questions about Chubb and Michel.

We'll see....I sure hope Smart falls in line and doesn't buck the system. Until I see it though......

I just saw that. The question was: On a scale from 1-10, how much do you buy the hype that Tennessee will go the SECCG?

Chris Douching answered, 3.

Then he called out all of the close losses from last year, and said worry about beating Florida first.

Now, I don't disagree with the "worry about UF first" sentiment, but coming from a former Gator WR, his intentions in saying that were completely transparent.

And his reasoning being "Oh they couldn't win close games last year" like WE HAVEN'T HIRED A TOP-3 DEFENSIVE COORDINATOR AND A NEW TIGHT ENDS COACH TO HELP THE PASSING GAME OVER THE OFFSEASON. Like yeah, we've hit our ceiling by winning 9 and losing the games that matter, and no upgrade could ever in any way improve our record.

What a friggin' douchelord. I'm really struggling to not use profanity right now.

Its why I can hardly watch SEC Network for any sort of analysis/discussion on their second tier daily shows.

The gameday shows are tolerable. McElroy, Booger, and Tebow were all fine, because you could tell they had studied/researched a little bit (granted, there were times you could tell producers had encourages a "hot take", but most of the time they were ok even when presenting negative opinions of a team).

Most of their weekday shows are nothing but Bro-analysis...bronalysis. Just smirking/snarky opinions pulled out of thin air with nothing to support them.

All you must remember is that the SEC Network is ESPN.

Extremely
Stupid
People
Network

Typical ESPN hate for all things Tennessee.

This season is when we prove we're back and shove it in everyones faces.

WIN by WIN we earn our respect and rankings...VFL...GBO!!!

The SEC network is filled with a bunch of homers from 3-4 schools pumping up their programs. It's a joke.

It probably won't happen because, you know, they're Vanderbilt. But 6-6 is possible. They should have beaten Florida last year, as ridiculous as that sounds. I could see them winning: USC, MTSU, WKU, UK, Tenn St, Missouri. They could also lose one of those but sneak up on someone else and steal one.

Funny side note. When you google "Vanderbilt schedule" an academic schedule shows up first.

Vandy barely beat MTSU last year and lost to WKU at home. They could very easily lose to both teams this season

It seems to me most of the people saying things like that about us don't seem to know much about this team. What amazes me is that people won't look at the current two teams and just compare them and say what they think instead it is until we beat them we can't. If you stripped away the names and logos and they had to do a blind comparison no one would pick Florida.

I'm coninced Doering doesn't know much about any team outside of Gainesville. He said UK would be a sleeper this season, and one of his reasons was that Mark Stoops had fone such a good job with the UK defense. I'm sorry, but that defense has been putrid since Stoops arrived.

Doering and Stoerner are the two biggest homers on the SECN. You'll never miss anything by changing the channel whenever one of them is on.

When he was asked about the Hype for LSU on a scale of 1-10...he said middle of road at around 5......and that's when I quit listening to him and went to mow the lawn....

No one in the West is gonna beat Bama except maybe Ole Sis....Bama still has to be the favorite to win the SEC....like Ric Flair used to say--"You gotta beat da man to be da man!" Whoooooo...... I think we can beat Bama this year for the first time in years!

But we gotta take care of Fla and UGA first...

I was really interested to see what he would say about us and the hype for us to be a playoff team....and really expected his answer of about 3.....

He's an idiot--just like Collinsworth....the only one worse than those two is Danny Kanell........but as 99 said....what else should we expect anyone to say until we actually BEAT Fla?
He was middle of the road at LSU being best team in the SEC (which means playoff contender) yet said UT was overrated... Made no sense to me.
