China Thread

Oh they don't like the PRC government or the PRC in general for what it stands for, maybe something like a lot of older Southerners not liking yankees, New York, etc. But they're Chinese to the core.
I got the impression they set themselves apart, maybe I misunderstood them. Interesting anyway though.

CCP Member Cut Check To Support Arizona Governor Shortly After She Vetoed Anti-China Legislation

After blocking a slate of legislation aimed at curtailing China’s influence in Arizona, the state’s governor appears to have been rewarded by a prominent member of the Chinese Communist Party.

On May 2, Gov. Katie Hobbs (D-AZ) vetoed legislation that would have banned healthcare and research institutions from using genetic sequencing equipment or software manufactured by entities the Pentagon has designated as “Chinese military companies.” A few weeks later, on June 2, she vetoed another piece of legislation that would have banned the Chinese government from owning land in her state. A few more weeks passed, and campaign finance records show that a CCP businessman cut a $10,000 check to the Democratic Governors Association — one of the primary political committees set to provide her with financial support as she stands for reelection in 2026.

China is fine tuning invasion plans of Taiwan. Japanese experts believe these structures are used to practice scenarios for quickly seizing the Taiwanese government in the event of a conflict.

Why do we tolerate continued espionage and theft of not only our intellectual property...but our most critical National secrets?

What penalty is there for China for stealing all of our aircraft designs? Both stealth fighters and bombers?

How is our security so lax that they are able to steal and copy these critically important designs? Other than the Leftist fear of ever discriminating being far more important than actual national security...so we employ chinese scientists at universities and the MIC.

A shooting war should be avoided if at all possible with "near peer adversaries" like China...but this BS stance of sticking our heads in the sand and pretending we aren't already in a Cold War with them is suicide. They treat every situation involving the US as if we are already at war. Trying to undermine and destroy this nation in various ways, some of which have been very effective like supplying the world's fentanyl and laundering cartel drug money. All the while stealing our designs on everything from tech and military designs to cars, textiles, manufacturing and materials science. An even greater threat the Chinese pose to our country is their constant attempts to replace the US Dollar as the worlds reserve currency. That plan is well under way between their Belt and Roads program and their BRICS alliance. As their influence and use of their currency increases throughout the world, our influence and economic power wanes. Just another way in which they have already begun waging war on the US and trying to replace us as the worlds superpower.

We need to wake up as a nation and stop ignoring this imminent threat. We are already far behind...and at a distinct disadvantage because our 2 party government spends more time fighting eachother and changing strategy than actually accomplishing anything. The Chinese dont have that problem.

i got some bad news for you buddy. Trump is in on it too. He talks a tough game with them, like with the tariffs, but he walks it back in reality before they could ever possibly hurt China.

they are paying both sides, not just the left. China plays the long game, something we have forgotten how to do. they play both sides so they can't lose, and as long as they aren't losing ground they are happy.

Our system of government along with the feckless PsOS we keep electing prevent us from playing the long game. The long game cannot be played in a democratic system.

Yep. No argument here. The 2 party system is killing us. Each side spending the 1st half of their terms undoing whatever the previous midget managed to get done. Totally inept Congress unable to get much of anything done besides wasting money. Short sighted men and policies all but guarantee defeat vs a stable government in China.

Sadly seems to be true. No cooperation or long term planning means our nation usually cannot accomplish anything that takes more than 4-8 years to complete. Ask NASA ...great example of the idiocy. They get jerked around with every new president.

Stable being interchangeable, considering they're communist, right?

Watching people who vote "R" down the ticket every election, regardless of the candidate or their policies, complain about the 2-party system is a trip.

You have no idea how anyone here votes besides perhaps yourself...especially "down the ticket".

The fact that you think you know these things is not surpising to me though. Leftists/Democrats are great at "knowing what's best for everyone" and spending everyone else's money. Just ask them.

Better be uninspiring then a dingus that thinks raiding ICE vehicles is a good idea.

I imagine we'll eventually be reading about you doing what that one kid did, waxing illegals while you're trying to "peacefully protest".
From "single issue voter" to not voting at all in 18 months.

Is not voting again, your 'regret response' for voting for Trump again last November?

Are you claiming that you've actually voted for a Democrat?

Are you claiming that you've actually voted for a Democrat?

Its pretty clear that I have not made that claim. In fact, I never mentioned my voting history (which is nobody's business but mine) but more importantly, I didn't make up a strangers voting history all the way "down the ticket" and then attempt to draw conclusions from my own hypothetical scenario.

Voting for candidates you know nothing about, "straight down a ticket", is ignorant and irresponsible. The term "Blue no matter who" is very well known though. Probably a good reason for that. I would like to think that if ignorant Americans knew more about the policy/platform of those they vote for, then we would have better candidates and election results. With test scores across all core subjects actually going down steadily for decades now, I am not sure that people are smart enough to retain the knowledge nor draw logical conclusions even if they had all the relevant information. This country gets dumber every decade, and generation, and there is no excuse for it. Definitely explains why people vote for Democrats though.

Nothing else needs to be said, and my original statement stands.

People complaining about the two party system while voting 'R' down a ticket are literal clown shoes.
