China Thread

Good question. However, if China does take Taiwan and sets its sights on one of those countries, who are they going to call first?

Exactly. Biden looks as feekless as Neville Chamberlain. He has a weak handle on the facts.

Trump on the other hand exudes confidence in any encounter. The enemy knows it and allies as well.

Iranian ‘Ghost Armada’ Ferries $22 Billion Worth of Illicit Oil to China

Biden admin turns blind eye to Iran's sanctioned oil trade

Iran's fleet of "ghost ships" has ferried at least $22 billion worth of illicit oil to China since 2021, providing the hardline regime with a major source of revenue and raising questions about the Biden administration's lax enforcement of sanctions.

In the first three months of 2022 alone, Iran shipped an average of 829,260 barrels of oil per day to China, according to new figures published by United Against a Nuclear Iran (UANI), an advocacy group that closely tracks Tehran's fleet of illegal tankers. A total of 337,882,520 illegal barrels—worth approximately $22 billion—have made their way to Beijing since President Joe Biden took office.

Iran's fleet, comprised of 182 foreign-owned and -flagged ships, operates with little interference from the United States, according to UANI. It is known as Tehran's "ghost armada" because these ships often obfuscate their position at sea and turn off their trackers—a violation of maritime law—so that they can evade detection.

Iran's black market oil trade has thrived under the Biden administration, fueling accusations the United States is turning a blind eye to sanctions enforcement in order to generate goodwill with Tehran as part of a diplomatic effort to ink a revamped nuclear deal.

Let countries engage in trade and let us mind our own damn business.

We need to get a military alliance between ourselves, Australia, South Korea, Japan, and India if this thing comes to a head. China won’t stop at Taiwan.

Nothing to see here... carry on.

According to the statement cited in Bloomberg, "China says its joint strategic air patrol with Russia May 24 doesn’t target any third party and has nothing to do with the current international and regional situations, according to a statement from the defense ministry."

Nothing to see?? Haha okay.

Look, if you're going to blame Biden for instigating already existing tensions abroad, then give him credit for being the reason THAT EXISTING TENSIONS turn to war!

This was all planned by China and Russia back in February.

And the United States has done nothing to dissuade either from THEIR intentions.

Basically they all want war...

Top Gun fires a warning at China by Reinstating Taiwanese Flag on Maverick's Jacket after its removal for trailer provoked outcry

Top Gun: Maverick has risked angering China by restoring the Taiwanese flag on the back of Tom Cruise's jacket in the new blockbuster.

In the original 1986 classic, Lieutenant Pete 'Maverick' Mitchell wears a leather bomber jacket featuring patches on the back, commemorating his father's battleship tours to Japan and Taiwan in 1963 to 1964.

But when the trailer for the highly-anticipated sequel was released in 2019, the flags had been mysteriously removed.

In the 2019 trailer, the flags of Taiwan and Japan were removed from Maverick's leather bomber jacket

There was speculation the decision was influenced by Chinese film distributor and production company Tencent Pictures, who were part producing the aviation romp.

The flags had been replaced by random symbols in an apparent kowtow to the Communist nation's political demands.

But when the film was released this week, fans were relieved to see the flags had been restored, with one scene even featuring a close-up shot.

Biden Administration bullied by China rhetoric again. Tough talk directly with Lloyd Austin.

US defense chief says China muscling neighbors, plundering resources in Pacific

In his meeting with Austin, Wei reiterated China's longstanding position that it was prepared to go to war if Taiwan declares independence from the mainland.

"Defense Minister Wei Fenghe emphasized that if anyone dares to separate Taiwan from China, the Chinese military will spare no effort to fight a war and shatter any 'Taiwan independence' attempts at any cost, and resolutely safeguard national sovereignty and territorial integrity," Wu Qian, a spokesperson for China's Defense Ministry said at a news conference following the meeting.

We gonna get into some semantics? Two governments hostile to one another with a threat of attack..
Or we talking some economic system of trade?
In this case semantics matter considering that Taiwan's position has always been that they are part of China and are the legitimate government of all China. PRC agrees on the former but not on the latter, It's a dance but both sides aim for eventual reunification. If Taiwan changes course and declares independence then that's secession and PRC won't have it.

China aims for renufication much more strongly that Taiwan. Taiwan can help keep them afloat and delay the disaster that awaits them in the future. Who on earth with a brain would willing want the Chi-comms to control them?

Taiwan doesn't want to submit to the CCP, they want one day to rule China. That day would be very far away.

Chinese company, the Fufeng Group, based in Shandong, China, purchased a 300-acre patch of prime Dakota farmland just about 20 minutes down the road from Grand Forks Air Force Base — home to some of the nation’s most sensitive military drone technology. The base is also the home of a new space networking center, which a North Dakota senator said handles “the backbone of all U.S. military communications across the globe.” https://www.cnbc.com/2022/07/01/chi...national-security-concerns-in-washington.html
