U.S. Seizes Shipment Of Human Hair Products Believed Made In Chinese Detention Camps

U.S. customs officials have seized a shipment of products made from human hair believed to have been produced by Muslims held in labor camps in China’s western Xinjiang Province.

The production of the goods “constitutes a very serious human rights violation," said Brenda Smith, executive assistant commissioner for trade at the U.S. Customs and Border Patrol (CBP).

The products were part of an $800,000, 13-ton shipment from Lop County Meixin Hair Product Company, the CBP said in a statement. CBP has ordered that the company's goods be held on grounds it uses prison and forced labor, including children.

Smith said the detention order, dated June 17, is intended to send a message to all entities seeking to do business with the United States “that illicit and inhumane practices will not be tolerated in U.S. supply chains."

The shipment arriving from Shenzhen, China, and destined for a residence in Melbourne, Florida was seized on May 22. The parcel was manifested as containing 100 Steel Pin Samples – a common practice used by smugglers for contraband trafficking.

The CBP Center of Excellence and Expertise, Machinery team estimate the domestic value of the shipment to be $129,600.

Earlier, in February, Indian intelligence caught China secretly shipping nuclear arms to Pakistan. The ship belonged to a Chinese shipping company COSCO blacklisted by the Americans last year. Sources in Coastal intelligence told GreatGameIndia the intercept was based on a tip-off from the Americans who were monitoring the entire fleet of the shipping line believed to be a front of Chinese intelligence.

The weapons shipment from Chinese smugglers has been caught at a time when the United States of America has been caught in the grip of a civil-war. The issue is complicated by the fact that the group leading the civil-unrest movement, the Black Lives Matter has direct ties to known terrorists.

Aren’t they trying to get in parts of Africa right now? This will keep happening until they try and take South Korea, Japan, or Australia. If that happens, then it’s going to get serious.

I think so, but yes that is a very scary thought. And who does Russia side with? Plus a lot of countries aren't happy about what we did to Japan in WWII. As things start moving we need to be on high alert. If Russia and China team up we could be in trouble.

Without help, it would be an absolute disaster for the US to fight a two front war. We would have to try and decapitate one of China or Russia early on.
