Chaz Coleman's future remains uncertain (CBS)

That part makes this even more confusing. Chaz obviously cares about money, and an offseason with the best S&C in the country would make him a lot of it come NFL draft time. Right now, all he's doing is giving NFL teams a reason to pass on him. The 10th overall pick generally gets a contract in the neighborhood of $30M. The end of the first round is half that and it falls off a cliff when you get into the 2nd and 3rd round. I can't imagine why a player as talented as him wouldn't be doing everything possible to move up draft boards.
Because the kinds of dumbasses that don't show up to workout and spend time posting thug life pictures on social media literally do not have the capacity to think of the future, and almost never have positive influences around them.

It's time to move on.

College sports as we know it are dead. Fans, including myself are losing interest when your teams are filled with mercenaries who have no allegiance to the school they represent
Correct. Some of us warned about it being this way once NIL started and here we are. This is why there has to be contracts. You can't allow players to be paid 2 million dollars and never play a single game and walk with that money.

As for your losing interest comment, I'm right there with you. My Saturdays were always planned around college games and especially UT football. Not anymore.

This will be a 30 for 30 in a few years and we will once again look like clowns…I’m a Heupel guy. He resurrected the program from the ashes. But I’m not real keen on how this situation has been handled…how would Rick Barnes handle this? What about Tony Vitello? On the outside looking in…I’d say Chaz wouldn’t have had to pack his bags! Some GA would have done it for him and he would have showed up and his key no longer worked!!! Just my opinion 🤷🏻‍♂️

Him doing money spreads on instagram while tagging the song feeding lies. The jokes write themselves. He has 3 million reasons why he should nut up or shut up. We got to stop acting like these guys are kids and they don’t know no better. He's making more money this year that 99% of the fanbase will never see in a decade.
Irrelevant. Calling him immature without knowing him personally is dumb.

This all should have been sorted out pre-signing. It’s utterly ridiculous. Im so sick of this stuff. Send him to Colorado with Neon.
As a parent, there's ways of dealing with this crap. I'd never suggest hitting a child, even an adult. But, the threat of a rubber hose can he extremely motivational.

There IS a pressure from becoming an overnight millionaire, especially if you have some sketchy type family members. I've heard several people who came into quick large money discuss they didn't realize how many sick and broke relatives they had until it became known about the money.

How much money has Tennessee paid him already?

UT pays most of its athletes who earn revenue shares on a monthly basis via direct deposit. Revenue shares are direct school-to-player payments in addition to third-party NIL money.

The university encourages athletes to receive NIL money in monthly payments so they can learn how to budget and invest their money.

However, payment schedules are negotiable, especially for coveted players who want a lump sum up front. In those instances, UT pays a signing bonus but pushes more money to the back end of the contract to balance the terms.

UT does not require student-athletes to make special appearances or do any additional work on behalf of the university to receive revenue-share payments. It simply pays them a share of its revenue as an NIL royalty for the use of their name, image and likeness.

However, athletes are expected to remain engaged academically and with the football team. Therefore, it's reasonable to believe that Coleman's absence could impact his UT pay.

In terms of third-party NIL deals, an athlete is required to make public appearances, create social media posts or appear in commercials to endorse products or services.

Having seen his X post and thinking about it, I'll be disappointed if the Chass makes it to the weekend. He has displayed a total lack of character and is punking his coach and "team mates". He has never intended to be a part of this team. He is trying to leverage OSU, imo.
I don’t think OSU would touch this guy with a 10 foot pole. I might be wrong. I just can’t imagine Tennessee/Tennessee fans wanting a guy that spurned you twice, has character questions, and that you would have to bring a big legal case forward just for him to play. I don’t think OSU is going to go to bat for this kid like Tennessee did for Nico. They actually invest their money well

If you can pay him $2 mil then pay to bring his mommy or gf down here for the season
To heck with that. We've already sunk more money than any sane person would have on this kid. No way I throw more good money after bad to further coddle him. Recoup every cent you can and send him packing. At this point, I doubt he'll be able to catch up physically to hold up on Saturdays anyway.

Jordan Ross loss looking bigger and bigger. Sheeeh , herring had knee issues , Ross may be a monster at lsu
And we got a skinny little edge who's more concerned about flashing on his social media than on the field on which he's done next to nothing except get 2 different schools to pay him ridiculous money for what he "might" do. Someone tell me where his motivation to work hard and be the best version of himself is going to come from? Nevermind. Rhetorical.
