Chattanooga Shootings...

I don't attack Christians. Asking for sane, rational responses to simple questions, when the inability to answer them leads to mass human misery, is not an attack.

It's a plea for common sense.

I looked like a sheer dick yesterday, but I like to think the world is somehow a slightly better place today, even at my expense.

It's what heroes do.

I've seen you say stuff about Christianity many times, and it doesn't matter the topic. I get you may have questions, but it sure does come across in your wording as bashing. Of course muslims are going to be brought up in this thread, it had nothing to do with Christianity.

You're not about to go all "martyr" on me, are you?

Once you go martyrdom complex, you never come back.

Don't go martyrdom complex.

Hero? Maybe you should go back and read what this thread was about. You want to know what a hero is I would say someone who would volunteer to sacrifice something of value. Say someone's life for someone or something else. Kind of like a Marine. I consider those four Marine's heroes. I don't think you fit the definition. I think you have derailed this thread enough. Take your nonsense somewhere else.

It's time to remove the cancer of Islam from American soil. Deport every one of those devils. Islam is here to dominate, not to assimilate. Who is gonna take over our country first ? The Muslims or the Mexicans? Ridiculous.

So as long as I logged in tonight, here's something to chew on...

Motlow, George Dickel, Manchester, Bonnaroo, Coffee County, Winchester, Monteagle, Tims Ford, Beechcraft, Lynchburg, Exchange, A.E.D.C.

A special meeting has been scheduled for the stated purpose of increasing awareness and understanding that American Muslims are not the terrorists some have made them out to be in social media and other circles.

“Public Disclosure in a Diverse Society” will be held from 6:30 to 8:30 p.m. on Tuesday, June 4, at the Manchester-Coffee County Conference Center, 147 Hospitality Blvd.

Special speakers for the event will be Bill Killian, U.S. attorney for the Eastern District of Tennessee, and Kenneth Moore, special agent in charge of the FBI’s Knoxville Division.

And

Killian said the presentation will also focus on Muslim culture and how, that although terrorist acts have been committed by some in the faith, they are no different from those in other religions.

He referred to the 1995 Oklahoma City Bombing in which Timothy McVeigh, an American terrorist, detonated a truck bomb in front of the Alfred P. Murrah Federal Building on April 19, 1995. Commonly referred to as the Oklahoma City Bombing, the attack killed 168 people and injured more than 800.

Killian also referred to the Wisconsin Sikh temple shooting on Aug. 5, 2012, when Wade Michael Page, an American white supremacist, fatally shot six people and wounded four others in a mass shooting at a Sikh temple in Oak Creek, Wis. Page committed suicide by shooting himself in the head after he was shot in the stomach by a responding police officer.

“Timothy McVeigh and Terry Nichols were both Christians as was the guy who shot up the Sikh temple,” Killian said. “Sikhs are not Muslim, Many people think they are Muslim, but they split off with the Hindu religion.”

FYI, this is the same guy in charge of the investigation in Chattanooga...

Nothing like putting the guy in charge of a radical Islamic terrorist attack investigation that held Muslim tolerance discussions.

Out of curiosity, what practical difference do you think it makes for Obama to call it "Jihadist terrorism" or something similar? The man is authorizing bombing and drone strikes like on a daily basis.

If he plays into their hands and pits one religion against another, can't you see that it does nothing to help the situation, and only makes it worse? Its what they want, can't you get that? Do you think that if he utters the magic words, they'll suddenly come to their senses and stop?

The man wouldn't know when the bombings take place because he rarely attends any Joints Chiefs meetings, and that is a damn fact. Does Valerie tell him?

Obama has done far more than any predecessor to attack and kill terrorist leadership, and to thwart domestic terrorism. Your claims to the contrary are belied by the facts, and make you look foolish.

SIAP but I don't understand the thought process of saying a serviceman or servicewoman cannot have an issued handgun on their person at all times. I would think this could have helped in many situations of attacks on our military. These men and women are some of the most capable people in the world to handle these situations.

Yeah I'm torn on this one.

Yeah...a huge increase alright.... They done arrested 53 of them there jihads this year..... Those numbers are staggering

We used to just kidnap them and pour water on them to get info. Obviously killing them is more humane.

Sincerely,

LG and people like him

Maybe I am reading too much into this, or maybe I've read too many Tom Clancy novels, but this guy screams "sleeper agent" to me. He was brought here with the plan of being groomed / placed to do a mission with minimal suspicion. I mean it reads just like a Clancy novel.

Brought here when he was about 10. : Old enough to know he had the basic intelligence to learn something demanding like engineering, but young enough to still be molded. His parents making sure to keep him on that path and to indoctrinate him to be a radical.

He was naturalized to maintain cover and make less suspicious.

He graduated from a decent school and went on to get a electrical engineering degree from a university.

He got an internship at TVA and if not for a failed back ground check (I've seen 2 stories neither verified 1, there were unexplained holes in background check or 2: he failed a drug test) he would would have went to work for them full time. Possibly either at a dam, power station, or a nuke plant.

I have to wonder if maybe he was sent here with the purpose of getting inside TVA. Once there depending on what position he was able to get into either sabotage the electrical grid, or worse sabotage a dam or a nuke plant. When that fell though and he realized that plan A wasn't going to happen he went to plan B and just decided to go out shooting like he did.

Like I said maybe I'm reading too much into it and have read too many Clancy novels. Its amazing the weird stuff your mind comes up with at 4 am when your sinus are jacked up and can't sleep.

1 person cannot sabotage a nuclear plant or dam or whatever.

No, but maybe he can get info and pass it off to those who want to do large scale damage. I think he had a valid point.

A nuclear plant is not challenging technology. It's expensive technology. It requires enriched uranium. But if you want to know how it works, Google it, or ask Russia.

That's not what I'm talking about. I'm saying they can get insight to infrastructure that's not known to the general public. If they know what's available to attack and how it is monitored, that could be a wealth of information.
