Good information. It seems like a lot of people have run with rumors as facts when it comes to him. I have never seen an article or heard an audio clip of him disparaging the Vols.

He had positive things to say about the Vols in this recent article, and shared why he left the program:

Before Tennessee's run to last season's national championship, only one pitcher had led the Volunteers to victory at the College World Series during the Tony Vitello era.

It is interesting that several of the fans favorite players are also not liked in the dugout and locker room. I never found but one player who thought Chase was not a good teammate. Many didn't like that during games he was a loner. He did not want to talk to anyone when he was pitching plus he did not hang with the others away from the field. Kirby was the same because he did not do much of the stuff that other college players do and maybe that is why he and Chase fit so well. Interesting side note. Everyone of Kirby's roommates after his freshman year was drafted and I think 4 first rounders.

So you're saying so many have hatred and resort to slander based on nothing besides their feelings were hurt he left? Color me shocked.
