Charlie Kirk Shot and killed

I would not associate a person accepting what he felt God called him to do, and marrying that to a desire to help America's two sides find common ground as being a scumbag. Verses (by comparison for objectivity) a person that spent his entire life doing what....? But that's just me.

CK's entire platform was to promote dialogue because "when talking stops violence starts." That's the entire nutshell of the purpose of his campus tours. To promote dialogue and common ground.

I'm not a proponent of any human, man or woman, being elevated to a pedastal. But, I'm old enough to know God blessed him with something he intended to use him for.
Like I've said multiple times. I've only seen a few clips. He came across as a turd. I do not believe they were from his campus tours, but it's evidently what put him on the map to begin with.

Again, you thought you knew CK's motives well enough to instruct everyone who'd been following him for years, all while also not knowing much about him. <eyeroll>
I'm not trying to instruct anyone, much less everyone. I'm offering my perspective. Get a clue.

Using this definition of equitable......
.
fair and just, especially in a way that takes account of and seeks to address existing inequalities.
So the definition of equity you are using appears to be synonymous with equality of the goal is to “address existing inequities”?

Do you view the two concepts as intrinsically linked?

I think they are linked and I loved your picture explaining the difference.
I believe the best route to equality is through equity.

I quoted the post where you came in to correct folks per his motives. Then made the ill-advised decision to post that you'd only recently even heard of him. lol

I can grab those posts for you again if you'd like.

If i had only watched a few clips then cut him from my feeds maybe I would draw the same conclusion. But, out of curiosity, I kept watching and gained a larger picture of what was going on. My wife works in the school system. Watching the cmpus tour clips and seeing those poor college kids, so mis-informed and ill-preapred for the world opened my eyes to what she complains about every singe day. It's disheartening. I'm thankful for the mission he acccepted in the perspective of its totality.

"I've only seen a few clips. He came across as a turd. I do not believe they were from his campus tours..."

From a reply he just made to one of mine. But his motives.... lol.

Verses the motives and glorification of floyd based in reality on the existence of what seems a 2" inch thick jacket (arrest record for those that don't know).

But, as we know, anyone that affects positive change away from the narrative and includes God is going to be attacked and characterized. We all knew that was coming, dead or alive. Funny how none was able to pin it on him until he was no longer able to present himself.

...

CK's "logical conclusion" was intentionally twisted and non-sensical......but he knew it would play with his audience.
Maybe racist????

I'd never even heard of the guy. Not being emersed in politicized social media in no way equates to low effort thinking.
I would say more of the opposite is true.

lol

Next, maybe you can perform heart surgery on someone since you're such a quick study.

I think you might have a slightly different opinion with increased viewing (if that is of interest to you).
The amazing thing is that most of what he said would not have been that controversial even to most democrats just 2 decades ago IMO.

There are stories that say pregnant belly but who knows? Like you said, does it really matter?
there is definitely enough actually there to be convinced one way or the other.

which is why I called out the snopes article. the way they frame stuff is so hypocritical its funny. its just that the one thing they were right about was the lack of pregnancy so I figured it was worth pointing out.

I believe the best route to equality is through equity.
But I hope you might agree that there would have to be a point where equity could be phased out for a return to equality?
I kind of see the two as at least somewhat incompatible.

Well, that's your problem. You judged a man on a few clips but never bothered to really understand who he is or what his beliefs were. Though I suspect with you it wouldn't matter because based on your posts in here, you seem to have a pretty warped world view, seeped in victimhood and resent.

Ai Says he pointed it at her stomach but they can't prove she was pregnant at the time. Court documents say she was pregnant.

Don't take that away from D4H. He's done wonders with his theological studies.
What was absolutely striking was his follow-up squirm-post trying to claim that posting about things that you lack familiarity with is somehow less of a lazy form of thinking than posting about things that one is deeply familiar with. I mean one would have problem making this kind of thing up.

I don't see the justification of equality though equity. That can only be acheived by taking from someone who has earned and giving to someone who has not. "If a man refuses to work, let him not eat." Meaning if you are able. Equality is not a monetary assignment. It's a humanistic right. Kind of like VN. Unless you have picked up on comments here and there, or had detailed conversations with other posters to know their ethnicity, we are all kind of equal here in our anonymous persona ?? With few exceptions most everything that happens here is CK style dialogue, even with the pokes and jabs. ??

And the belief to his death that Trump is a far more dispicable person than Pelosi, or anyone in the Squad or any of those race baiting, violence supporting lefties.

yeah the picture, while poignant, doesn't tell the full picture. it also assumes there is some reason they should be sharing.

-where do the boxes come from. I don't think most people would mind to much if the "boxes" were already going to be there, and they were given out equitably.
-but what if one person brought them to share, then distributing them "equitably" is taking advantage of the good works of one person.
-or what if the person with the boxes planned for enough boxes for 3 people, but a fourth shows up, and none get what they want.
-what if the fence is much higher, and one person brought enough boxes so they could see. distributing becomes problematic.
-what if none of the people are actually any different, and two want to sit while the third is fine standing? is it really equitable to provide seats for some while requiring others to stand?

I certainly understand that.
