Ok only one comment from me then I am running away from this thread again.
The first amendment only protects individuals from government infringement. So I’d guess that the DoD SM review will likely get shot down unless the government can prove somehow that exercising one’s right about an individual not in their chain of command breaks any UCMJ laws or regulations.
Now as many are finding out via their fairly rapid dismissals from their jobs or other appointments the first amendment doesn’t provide cover against private entities from taking actions.
That was a bad answer to his question.
Should have kept with just the military.
