It's gonna be like Bama finding the right coach after Saban. Just other end of the success spectrum. Sometimes you just need a clean up guy before you find the long term fit. Patel is the clean up guy. Not the long term answer. It would be very rare for one person to be both.

I can't disagree with this, but Trump does it too. Check out Mike Lee's comments after the Hortman's were assassinated. Both sides have done nothing but exude hate towards the other. Recognizing that fact and quelling it is the only way we can heal as a nation.

The pilot comment was in response to AA saying they wanted 40% of their pilots to be of color or women. Nothing to do with qualifications, just race or gender.

Our nation will never get back to the unified way that we dream of and once had. However, we don't have to respond with taking people out over the mildest disagreement. God bless America.

What has Patel done to demonstrate incompetence? There's numerous examples for Comey, if not incompetence then corrupt which is worse.

I can do nothing to control hate in anyone but myself unfortunately.
I think Charlie understood this; hence his civility even as he held fast to what he believed.
I think that is what made him so dangerous to so many on the left (and some on the right).
One Charlie Kirk is worth 1000 angry activists. If anything good comes of this; I hope it is that we all (myself especially) take the same direction.
Heaven help us but we can’t continue on like this (myself included)

As I said maybe for you not for me. Also competent is probably the wrong word as applies to Patel. It’s qualified in that regard. Competent or not will be determined over the term of his tenure. We were talking about Comey in the past tense so both qualified and competent apply.
