What is objectively true is that Trump was the reaction to that which preceded him.

Trump never would have been able to follow Jimmy Carter or Bill Clinton. The environment didn’t exist.

Most everything is a reaction to what preceded.
Some are slight over reactions and some are insane over reactions.

The reaction of shooting out someone's tires because they cut you off in traffic is an insane over reaction.
Would they have shot out the tires had they not been cut off? Absolutely not. But that in no way changes the fact that it was an insane, unwarranted overreaction.....even though the guy who cut him off was also in the wrong and likely a gigantic turd.

Those who are in the mild "I don't care" version of "he had it coming" crowd have 2 things in common: 1) they are on the left (so a different tribe) and 2) they didn't know anything about him other than some soundbytes they saw without context (the empathy and the condones school kids getting shot ones in particular).
