I went to a wedding two months ago where a guest there worked for a weapon's manufacturer. I found him with a group of guys laughing their asses off about bombing Iran the week before. You think it's different when it's a pundit vs. whoever died in Iran. I do not. They didn't deserve it either. At least not from us. Everybody in that circle of bros was laughing, not 38%.

So in the social media posts of people I know I see a common thread. Those who are in the mild "I don't care" version of "he had it coming" crowd have 2 things in common: 1) they are on the left (so a different tribe) and 2) they didn't know anything about him other than some soundbytes they saw without context (the empathy and the condones school kids getting shot ones in particular).

We've become really lazy as a culture.

You're 100% correct Jesus didn't command the govt anything.

But he didn't command I contribute to corporate bailouts so CEOs could collect record bonuses. Nor did he command I contribute to killing innocent children in Gaza.
Thar I help finance a tea garden for political gatherings.
The list of things I must contribute tax dollars to that I nor Jesus support is pretty long.
