Beginning with the Vols home opener on Sept. 5, the “Vol Walk” start time has been moved closer to kick-off to allow more fans the opportunity to experience the tradition and create more excitement closer to kick-off for fans and players. The “Vol Walk”, which will start one hour and 45 minutes before kick-off, will begin at the Torchbearer, the official symbol of the University, head down Peyton Manning Pass and continue on Phillip Fulmer Way to Gate 21A.
Heard the samething.Heard it explained that Kiffin and company wanted the Vol Walk moved closer to kickoff because they didn't want the players in the lockerroom sitting around not doing anything for an inordinate amount of time like in years previous.
I will have to say I have been very well pleased with this coaching staffs attention to details. Been a breath of fresh air.

What has been the change? Link? One of my favorite things is that the size hasn't changed since I went to my first game 19 years ago. They'd have a hard time figuring out the circle drill with a different number of bandmembers.
