Change coming?

Could the plan have been to start a different QB all week, but it wasn't announced on Monday?
Just thinking from a coach's perspective and I would want the backup to earn the start and maybe that was happening this week? What would there be to gain from announcing a QB change on Monday? I haven't read any of the practice reports but maybe the change has happened and we haven't been informed.

As soon as someone mentions skin or race when no one else does exposes their agenda. Do you though.

So you definitely don't want Maurer or Shrout.
Maurer has a .20 winning percentage,in HS. Lol
Shrout threw 25 ints on an average team.

I guess you just need to wait until Bailey becomes the starter to watch again.

A little part of me wonders if the groundwork is already being laid for Guarantano to not play the whole game but not appear to have been benched for performance reasons. Coach mentioned earlier this week about him hitting his hand on a helmet last week. Now this is out there online.

I'll be here for you to lecture me at the end of the season. As for "skin or race", your reputation preceeds you. I was simply trying to make it about talent. Obviously, you favor one over the other. But you do you, though.

I thought he was an EE that arrived on campus the previous Jan. He’s listed as a Jr on the roster, not a redshirt jr

Yep. The defenders of the Tan-o have real problem understanding red shirts as they apply to Jarrett. "He's only a freshman", "only a sophomore", and that bothers the hell out of me. Such a childishly manipulative approach. They ALWAYS forget the "redshirt" qualifier when making their excuses. "But he was just a freshman, barely 18 years old".

They repeat the lie so often, they forget the truth.

Sigh... can we just get a qb in there who sparks the team? If they’d just get excited the fans would follow suit.

Why does losing with Maurer make it ok? That's where I'm lost.. The QB isn't going to change the result of the next 5 games, anybody who believes that is in denial.. We are a bad football team, we do bad football team things, and while JG contributes to this. That won't change the other problems we have.

Lol just looked at official utsports roster, he is very clearly listed as a REDSHIRT JUNIOR. which any true vol fan, that is not in denial, should know already. But whatever floats that guys boat. It is known that Tan-o fans reside in Mr Rogers Neighborhood of Make Believe.

All true except JG has shown he’s incapable of improvisation. Number 1 isnt wide open, sack. Number 1 is wide open, late. Little things during the course of a game create momentum and mitigate mistakes. Basically, we have to be perfect to win and cannot manage to out score GA State and BYU. He may be the best we have, I’d like confirmation
