Change coming?

In HS. High School. He was 2-8. If a QB is bad because his team loses then BM is bad.
JG is bad. You can hand wave and deny all you like.

In spite of you, I truly hoped that Chaney, Weinke, and Tee would be able to bring him around but has play suggests they haven't.

The OL has played well enough to win both games. Far from perfect but easily good enough. The skill players have been there. The D EASILY played well enough to win BYU and without JG's mistakes GSU would have been out of reach by the second half.

He still isn't reading D's pre or post snap. He's still way too slow making decisions. He still isn't throwing receivers open. He still isn't managing the pocket well.

All the things we've talked about for months... that you denied though they were pretty obvious... he's still struggling with. Chaney apparently tried to simplify the O for him before BYU. Still didn't work. JG is still way, way too easy to defend.

If not for the OL and the run game.... BYU would have been a blowout. His decision making LITERALLY kills drives.

Every backup QB has a me first attitude until they get playing time. They want to play. You really think back up QBs want the guy in front of them to succeed for the “betterment of the team?” No way. Especially if the guy in front of them is in the same class as them or one year older

I agree. I believe most if not all want to go in and "Save the day". That's why I really believe Harrison Bailey will stay committed here. As long as Pruitt is here that is.

Just my opinion though. I certainly wouldn't put a bunch of money on it.

Just gave you one example that for sure did. I have no doubt that there are more... or that those guys are the guys you want.

You are envisioning a false dichotomy.... that a guy cannot want someone currently ahead of him to succeed while wanting to take his job away.

No one has been worse than JG, NO ONE! Get out of here with your garbage! I really think you are hired by Volnation to continue to back JG, stir the pot, and get this site clicks. NO ONE CAN BE AS CLUELESS AS YOU. Which QBs that have played close to 3 years and been in the system close to 4 years have been worse than JG? Hell, even Crompton was better his senior year after Chaney and Kiffin helped him!

Please name ONE 3rd year QB UT that has been worse than JG. Don't give me the bs about QBR either. I would take Crompton's 900 more yards, 15 more TDs, and 11 more picks his senior year over JGs stats last year! Crompton made mistakes. But, he moved the O down the field to score more pts with his passing without relying on rushing and check downs. By the way, your Golden Boy's QBR is 47.3 this year and would be MUCH WORSE had Jennings not scored a TD instead of letting one pass vs BYU being a INT!!! THAT QBR IS VS GA ST and BYU, PATHETIC!!!!! You can't even use your GO TO QBR this year!!!!
Calm down Suzie. Why all the shouting?

Also why the lies?

He hasn't been in the system 4 years. He has actually had new one ever single year.

Jr year qbs that were worse. R Clausen, Simms, Worley, Crompton, C Clausen had 11 tds and 7 ints Jr year, Dormady, Stephens.

That is is only the last 15 years. All worse. Now go make up something else. 😂😂😂😂😂😂

Peyton didn’t do what Shuler did. Was he selfish?

Ignorant drivel like usual. If we convert 1 yard runs we blow them out. I guess its his fault we can't move the pile.

I guess he is the reason our linemen can't even do a blocking drill our old azz coach can do.

BTW - were you really expecting JG to have the attitude of wanting to sit for a year and “learn from Dormady”? Really?

I like my scenario better, it means he might play? :) I don't want to think he liked a comment of someone dissing his teammate. :( Who knows, we'll find out soon enough.
How did it diss his teammate? If we’re talking about the same Tweet, he liked one that wanted to see him on the field...which is an idea he definitely LIKES.

Yeah. Because it is the definition of a "great" QB to throw safe passes while the team loses and cannot score points.
Another example of your ignorance. PFF factors I pass difficulty. JG was one of the best in the country on difficult passes last year and down field throws.

I meant what are your thoughts about possibly seeing Maurer?

I've already admitted several times it seems I was wrong, so as always, I'm all for the QB that gives us the best chance to win. It hasn't looked good for JG, so I guess if Maurer starts or just plays tomorrow, we might get an answer one way or another.

Yaaaay, Maurer coming in!!!! Thing about it, everyone might find out JG is our best chance at winning.
Maurer. Shrout or walkon. If they’re playing, it’s either we’re beating the snot out of my hometown school (preferred) or it’s the final confirmation that JG is crap pebbles (not PREFERRED but finality has it’s peace). If the latter, I’d find a way to get excited because as much as I crave stability and development on the roster, few things are as stirring as a coaching search or a QB change. The unknown is the shiznit.

He said the only way he would go would be if he were playing.

*Edit* people take things differently I guess....

Let me see so best QB on 3rd & 4th down last year is 0-2 2019...…...Hmm

More meaningless stats, how many 300+ yard games does he have? How many career tds has he thrown? What's his record? What's his record against Vandy?

k-town...I've been in JG threads arguing along with you against sjt defending JG. For me it was mostly on the basis that the o-line was so bad that you couldn't fairly judge JG's play. Not the case so far this year. The o-line might still struggle in short yardage situations, but they have given JG plenty of time to throw. He has not played well this year. I would argue that his play so far this year would be a regression from last season. I think the defense takes the bulk of the blame for GA State with JG getting some blame as well, but JG gets most of it for the BYU game.

I personally think the guy is wound up too tight out there and isn't enjoying the game much. He looks like a guy that has rattled himself with expectations. All the hits the last two years probably didn't help, but it's getting harder to see him finally have everything click and the game slow down for him. The talent is still there, but he's running out of time to take advantage of it.

Sorry, no. Only if Maurer was playing.

You’re misunderstanding me. Not “on the field” as in SIDELINE...on the field playing but where does it say STARTING? Reads plainly that one particular fan would attend if Maurer was guaranteed some playing time. I don’t see where desiring that is dissing anybody. I’m sure that fan isn’t jazzed to see JG at all but that’s not how it reads.

The back up qbs are always better than the starter! So funny how it works. JG is gonna be fine eventually.
